Why Is There a $3 Processing Fee?
When you submit a hotel rate negotiation request on HotelHuddle, a $3 processing fee is charged. We want to be transparent about why this fee exists and what it covers.
We Contact Hundreds of Hotels on Your Behalf
When you submit an RFP, we do not just passively forward your request to a few hotels. Our negotiation team actively reaches out to hotels in your destination — sometimes hundreds of them — calling and emailing to find the ones willing to offer the best rates. This outreach requires real time and effort from our team.
We Want to Make Sure You Are Serious
The $3 fee helps us filter out casual browsers from serious travelers. When someone is willing to pay a small fee, it signals they are genuinely interested in booking a hotel stay. Hotels take these requests more seriously, which means you get better rates and faster responses. We only want to send serious leads to hotels — that is what gets us the best negotiated rates.
What the Fee Covers
- Active outreach — We contact hundreds of hotels on your behalf, not just the ones on our platform
- Professional negotiation — Our team calls hotels directly and negotiates rates you would not find on your own
- Platform maintenance — Keeping our RFP, comparison, and dashboard tools running
- Customer support — Help when you need it, from booking questions to itinerary changes
- Secure transactions — Processing payments safely and protecting your information
We Are Only Covering Our Costs
The $3 fee does not generate profit — it simply helps cover the cost of outreach and negotiation. We do not mark up hotel rates, and we do not charge commissions on bookings. The negotiated rate is the rate you pay the hotel. Our only charge is the flat $3 fee.
How the Fee Works
The fee is charged once per request — not per room or per night. Whether you are booking 1 room or 50, the processing fee is $3.
