The San Francisco Chinese New Year Parade steps off on Saturday, February 20, 2027 at 5:15 PM from Second Street and Market Street. The route runs about 1.3 miles around Union Square and ends at Kearny Street and Columbus Avenue, and the parade lasts about two and a half hours. Standing on the route costs nothing. Four bleacher sections sell through Eventeny at $53.46 to $85.35.
Each section sits on a different block, and that block decides where the room goes.
What each section buys
Section A1 - Kearny Street between Washington and Jackson Streets, covered by a canopy, closest to Chinatown, $74.72 including $4.72 in processing fees. Section B - Kearny Street between California and Sacramento Streets, $53.46 including $3.46 in fees. Section C - Post Street between Grant Avenue and Kearny Street, $53.46. Section E3 - Geary Street at Powell Street, on Union Square, $85.35 including $5.35 in fees, with one gift bag per ticket redeemed at check-in while supplies last.
Every section also sells an ADA version at its standard price: A1 ADA at $74.72, B ADA and C ADA at $53.46, and E3 ADA with the gift bag at $85.35. Two ADA lines read Few tickets remaining at the time of this read. Accessible seating sits at street level along the route and inside the ticketed sections, and any attendee inside a bleacher area needs a ticket.
The terms that do not move
All sales are final. Eventeny states the terms on every line item: non-refundable, non-cancellable and non-transferable after purchase. The organiser's FAQ states that the parade is not cancelled for rain, and that a receipt is not admission. Sales end at 3:00 PM Pacific on February 20, 2027, and the published event window runs 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Children 2 and under need no ticket and sit on a caregiver's lap. A QR code is exchanged for a badge at a check-in station.
The organiser asks ticket holders to reach their assigned section by 4:00 PM, and notes that SFPD begins closing streets around 3:00 PM.

A Saturday night and a Sunday night cover the parade and the fair with a Monday checkout. The organiser's own calendar carries the Miss Chinatown USA Pageant and Coronation Ball on Friday, February 19.
Arriving at the section
BART serves the Powell and Montgomery stations under Market Street, and the organiser's transportation page lists Muni, AC Transit, Caltrain, Golden Gate Transit and SamTrans alongside it. Parking is by garage. Portsmouth Square Garage, 733 Kearny Street, sits inside A1's corridor. Golden Gateway Garage, 250 Clay Street, serves B. Ellis-O'Farrell Garage, 123 O'Farrell Street, serves E3. North Beach Garage, 735 Vallejo Street, and Vallejo Street Garage, 766 Vallejo Street, sit beyond the route's finish. The organiser routes advance reservations through SpotHero.
The sequence
Buy the bleacher section first, because the section fixes the block. Book the room second, on a free-cancellation rate, once the section is confirmed. Check in at the station by 4:00 PM. Keep the QR code on the phone and collect the badge at the station. The seat is the fixed cost of the evening, between $53.46 and $85.35 per person, and every rate and cancellation deadline comes from the property.
