The 2027 AAD Annual Meeting runs March 19 to 23, 2027 at Moscone Center, 747 Howard Street, San Francisco. The Academy's exhibitor prospectus prints those dates and that address. Housing booked through the Academy closes Wednesday, February 24, 2027.
Four dates set the price of a change
From the time of booking until Wednesday, February 24, 2027 at 12 p.m. noon (CT), a guest can change a reservation online through the link in the confirmation letter. A cancellation in that window costs $100 per reservation. The Academy states the fee applies regardless of the cancellation reason or the method used.
Thursday, February 25 through Sunday, February 28, 2027 is a four-day window with no change route. The Academy states that reservations are being transmitted to the hotel and that no changes or cancellations to hotel reservations are accepted.
Friday, February 26, 2027 at 12 p.m. noon (CT) is the deposit date. The card on the reservation is charged one night's room and current sales tax. The Academy states the deposit is non-refundable and that it is applied to the reservation charges on the final folio. The charge lands two days into the window, so a guest who wants to avoid it cancels before February 24.
From Monday, March 1, 2027 through the check-in date, changes run directly with the hotel. Arrival and departure modifications can be requested until check-in, subject to the hotel's own policies.
The cancellation ladder in dollars
A cancellation from the time of booking until February 24 at noon (CT) costs $100 per reservation. A cancellation after that hour costs one night's room and current sales tax per reservation. The same one-night figure is the deposit charged from February 26, and the same figure is the no-show fee. Failure to check in on the scheduled arrival date triggers a one-night room and tax charge and cancels the reservation.
A property switch after February 25 costs the deposit
The Academy's policy note reads: "Switching hotels after Thursday, Feb. 25, 2027, will result in the loss of the one (1) night room and current sales tax deposit." The deposit loss is published. The consequence for the negotiated rate is not. The same page publishes no attrition clause, no minimum-stay rule and no release date. Ask the housing provider in writing whether the block rate follows the reservation to a second property.
The guarantee card carries its own deadline
Reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card, and the card expiration date must be March 2027 or later. A card expiring in January or February 2027 fails the guarantee, whatever card the guest intends to use at check-in.
Registration runs on a different clock
Registration opens November 18, 2026 at 12 p.m. noon (CT) for physician, life and honorary members, and November 24, 2026 at 12 p.m. noon (CT) for all remaining categories. Early-bird registration ends February 17, 2027 at 12 p.m. noon (CT). Session purchases become non-refundable from that same hour.
The registration cancellation deadline is 12 p.m. noon (CT) on Tuesday, March 16, 2027. Notices received before it are refunded minus a $100 cancellation fee, or $25 for medical student and guest registrations. Notices received after it receive nothing. The Academy states that a no-show registration is treated as having missed the deadline. Name changes are not allowed, so a registration is non-transferable, and a category change carries a $100 processing fee.
Who holds the block
Maritz Global Events is the Academy's registration and housing partner. The Academy adds that group room packages are managed by FHT Global in partnership with MGE. The same page carries the fraud warning in the Academy's words: companies unaffiliated with the AAD or Maritz Global Events have been posing as the official registration and housing provider for the 2027 Annual Meeting. The warning closes the credit-card question, and the named partner is the only place to book.
The Academy publishes no property list and no nightly rate on its meeting pages.

What the four dates ask of a booker
Book the room before February 24, 2027 at noon (CT). That hour closes the online change route and the $100 cancellation fee together.
Check the guarantee card's expiry before booking. March 2027 or later is the requirement.
Choose the property once. A second property after February 25 costs the one-night deposit on the first.
File February 26 at noon (CT) as the deposit date and March 1 as the day the hotel takes over the reservation.
Register on the November 18 or November 24 opening if the member rate matters. File March 16 at noon (CT) as the last day a registration can be cancelled with a partial refund.
Treat a group booking as a separate purchase, because group room packages run through FHT Global.
