The American Counseling Association holds its 2027 conference March 11 to 13 at the Oregon Convention Center and sells five hotel rates from its own registration site. The published room band runs $209 to $269. The band that decides the booking runs $270.31 to $378.01 once parking, a destination fee and Portland lodging tax land on the bill.
ACA contracts these rooms itself, prints the terms beside each rate, and states that no housing bureau sits in the middle.
Five rates and two deadlines
DoubleTree by Hilton Portland, 1000 NE Multnomah St: $209, held until Tuesday, February 9, 2027. Crowne Plaza Portland Downtown Convention Center, 1441 NE 2nd Ave: $230, held until Monday, February 15, 2027. Courtyard by Marriott Portland Downtown/Convention Center, 435 NE Wasco St: $259, held until February 15. Hotel Eastlund, 1441 NE Grand Ave: $259, held until February 15. Hyatt Regency Portland at the Oregon Convention Center, 375 NE Holladay St: $269, held until February 15.
Every line adds the same qualifier: or until the hotel sells out of group rooms (whichever is earlier). The DoubleTree deadline arrives six days before the other four, so the cheapest room in the set closes first.
Parking is a second room rate
Hyatt Regency: self-parking from $38, valet from $45. Crowne Plaza: self-parking from $30. DoubleTree: self-parking from $31. Courtyard: self-parking from $43 and valet from $43. Hotel Eastlund: valet from $43.
None of the five folds parking into the room rate. Across three nights the parking line runs $90 to $135.
The $25 fee sits on one property
ACA prints the charge in the Hyatt terms: A daily destination fee of $25 (subject to change) is applied to each room of your stay to provide services and amenities. Three nights add $75 to the Hyatt bill. The other four carry no destination fee.
Priced on the total
Portland levies lodging tax on the room line. The city publishes 6 percent, Multnomah County 5.5 percent, and a 3 percent Portland Tourism Improvement District fee, which totals 14.5 percent. Oregon levies no sales tax.
The figures below add room, room tax, parking and any destination fee for one night. DoubleTree $270.31. Crowne Plaza $293.35. Courtyard $339.56. Hotel Eastlund $339.56. Hyatt Regency $371.01 with self-parking, $378.01 with valet.
Across three nights: $810.93, $880.05, $1,018.68, $1,018.68 and $1,113.03 with self-parking. The lowest and the highest differ by $100.70 a night and $302.10 across the stay.
Parking tax is not in these figures. The hotel folio decides, so ask for the folio total.
Three nights, Thursday into Sunday
ACA says Join us March 11-13, 2027. The venue lists March 11 to 14. Programming ends on the Saturday, and the extra day on the venue calendar is the Sunday checkout.
Expo Hall hours run Thursday from 3 p.m. to a time still to be determined, Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Learning Institutes run before the conference officially begins on Thursday, March 11.
That reads as three nights: Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Checkout lands on Sunday, March 14 at 12 p.m. at all five properties.
Check-in times decide Thursday afternoon
Check-in is 3 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency, the Crowne Plaza and the Courtyard, and 4 p.m. at the DoubleTree and the Hotel Eastlund.
The expo opens at 3 p.m. Thursday. A 3 p.m. check-in reaches the hall with bags already upstairs. A 4 p.m. check-in reaches it an hour after the doors open, with luggage at the desk.
The cancellation terms differ by property
Hyatt Regency: Cancellations made after 11:59 p.m. hotel time, 2 days prior to arrival, will forfeit one night’s room and tax. Crowne Plaza cancels free before 6:00 p.m. local hotel time two days before arrival. Hotel Eastlund forfeits one night plus tax on a cancellation after 4 p.m. hotel time two days before arrival. DoubleTree asks for a cancellation number at least three business days before arrival. Courtyard directs the guest to the property policy at booking.
Two days before a Thursday March 11 arrival is Tuesday March 9. The DoubleTree window closes three business days out, around Friday March 5.
No housing bureau, and ACA says why
ACA is not utilizing the services of any housing bureau or online hotel booking sites for this event. Reservations should be made directly with the hotel using the “Make a Reservation” links available on this page only.
ACA warns that third-party companies target attendees, and that booking through them can produce a false reservation or a lost deposit. Housing questions go to events@counseling.org.
Register before you hold the room
Fees step twice. Members pay $410 on or before December 21, 2026, $525 from December 22, and $630 from March 9. Non-members pay $675, $775 and $875. Student, new professional and retired members pay $315, $400 and $475.
Registration cancellations close on Thursday, March 4, 2027, with a refund minus $75, or $50 in the student and new professional categories.
The room deadlines sit in February and the registration cancellation date sits in March. A booker who cancels on March 4 has already lost the DoubleTree window by 23 days and the other four by 17.
If you are bringing a delegation
hotelhuddle notifies 50+ hotels in the destination with one request, and hotels return competing quotes in 24 to 72 hours. Submission is free, the guest pays the hotel directly, and the rate carries no added markup. Most group rates require 10 or more rooms a night, and some start at 5.
A state association sending a board and a student cohort holds that room count. File before February 9 and the DoubleTree deadline stops capping the comparison.
The order to do this in
Register at the $410 member rate before December 21. Take the DoubleTree at $209 when a 4 p.m. check-in and $31 parking suit the Thursday. Take the Crowne Plaza at $230 when the 3 p.m. door justifies $23 more a night.
