One Date Decides the Rest of the Booking

Art Miami opens to Platinum VIP passholders at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, 1 December. The VIP preview runs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Public doors open at 4 p.m. Book that Tuesday first, and anchor the room to it. A 3 p.m. check-in arrives four hours after the Platinum door, so the room has to be ready on the morning of 1 December or held from the night before. Confirm the property’s check-in hour before you choose the arrival night.

The Art Miami and CONTEXT Art Miami pavilions sit at One Herald Plaza, on Biscayne Bay between the Venetian and MacArthur causeways. Public hours run Wednesday 2 December to Saturday 5 December from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday 6 December from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Who Reaches the 11 a.m. Preview

The Platinum preview runs 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. by invitation, for Art Miami and CONTEXT Platinum VIP passholders. The 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. VIP preview admits Art Miami, CONTEXT and Aqua VIP passholders, plus Art Basel Miami Beach, Design Miami and Untitled VIP passholders, plus accredited press. Both previews benefit the Pérez Art Museum Miami.

A VIP ticket costs $330. It carries the 1 p.m. preview, unlimited admission from 1 December to 6 December, the VIP lounge outside private events, admission to partnering museums, and Aqua Art Miami from 2 December to 6 December.

Six Nights, and Which End to Anchor

30 November to 6 December is six nights. That version holds a room for the 11 a.m. Tuesday preview and runs through the Saturday 7 p.m. close. Sunday 6 December becomes a checkout day, and the last public day passes without a room.

1 December to 7 December is six nights as well. That version holds the room through Sunday’s 6 p.m. close and needs an early check-in on the Tuesday. Ask the property for its early check-in fee and its earliest hour before you commit to a rate.

The $184 Ticket Pays From the Third Day

One public day costs $71. Three days cost $213 at that price. The multi-day ticket costs $184 and covers all six public days, and it adds one day at Aqua Art Miami from Thursday 3 December to Sunday 6 December.

Senior tickets for guests 62 and over cost $48. Student tickets for ages 12 to 18 cost $48. Groups of 10 or more pay $48 a person for a single day. Children 12 and under enter free with a ticketed adult.

Tickets sell online only. The fair runs no box office on site. Ticketing questions go to 305-503-5181.

The Aqua Day Adds a Second Booking

Aqua Art Miami runs at the Aqua Hotel, 1530 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach. That address measures 8.4 km and about 11 minutes by road from One Herald Plaza. A multi-day ticket admits one day there between 3 December and 6 December.

Art Miami runs a free water taxi that connects its shows to Miami Beach during Miami Art Week. The Adrienne Arsht Metromover station sits one block from the site. The Metromover, the Wynwood Trolley and the Biscayne Trolley all run free.

Decide before you book whether the Aqua day earns a Miami Beach night. A second property adds a second rate, a second deposit and a second cancellation term to the trip.

Four Partner Properties, Measured From the Door

Art Miami names four hotel partners and prints a distance for each. Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay is listed at 0.18 miles, YVE Hotel Miami at 146 Biscayne Boulevard at 0.85 miles, and Hotel Beaux Arts and JW Marriott Marquis, which share 255 Biscayne Boulevard Way, at 1.20 and 1.22 miles.

The fair’s page prints 225 NW 25 Street, Miami, 33127 for Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay. The Art Miami and CONTEXT block page lists the property at 1633 North Bayshore Drive, Miami, 33132, and the 0.18-mile figure fits that bayfront address. Confirm the street line with the property before a request goes to it.

The JW Marriott Marquis carries 313 rooms and suites. The fair publishes no rate, no block and no cut-off for any of the four properties, so every room number comes from the hotel.

Valet, Garage and the Free Rail

Valet parking costs $30 and runs first come, first served, with the entrance at Bayshore and NE 14th Street. The Omni Garage holds more than 2,500 spaces at 1645 Biscayne Boulevard at NE 15th Street, and it opens further entrances on Bayshore Drive and on 17th Street.

The garage sits adjacent to the pavilion. The fair publishes turn-by-turn directions from I-95 in both directions.

Bag Rules Tighten on Friday

Large bags stay outside. The fair refuses suitcases, folding bicycles, scooters, laptops and anything bigger than a handbag. A limited bag and stroller check runs on site for a small fee, and coats and umbrellas check free.

Strollers are not permitted from Friday to Sunday. That rules them out on 4, 5 and 6 December, which is the whole closing weekend.

When to Send the Request

hotelhuddle sends one request to more than 50 hotels in the destination and returns their group offers in a single dashboard. Hotels answer within 24 to 72 hours. The service costs nothing to use and adds no commission to the rate. Group rates start at 10 rooms a night.

Send the request in the first half of November. The preview falls on the Tuesday of Miami Art Week, the 24-to-72-hour response window needs room before the arrival night, and the block's own release date lands in the same stretch.
