The National BBCB 2027 Summit runs from noon Tuesday 2 March to 2 p.m. Friday 5 March at the Tampa Convention Center, 333 S. Franklin St. It is the twentieth edition of a summit Hillsborough College founded in 2006. The City of Tampa record puts it at more than 400 participants from over 150 institutions, and the event description adds 800 community members.
A three-night stay covers the programme. A fourth, the Monday before, decides whether the first morning starts with a drive or with breakfast.
The clock and the nights it forces
A noon Tuesday start means a Monday 1 March arrival puts a delegate in the building with the morning free. A Tuesday arrival works when the drive lands before noon. A 2 p.m. Friday finish runs past a morning checkout, so the bag goes to the car or the room is held through the afternoon.
The count that fits the published span is three nights, Tuesday 2, Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4, with a Friday 5 checkout. Four nights adds Monday 1 March and buys an unhurried first morning.
The walkable eight
The venue's nearby-hotels list prints 27 entries and 26 distinct properties, because Le Meridien Tampa, The Courthouse appears twice. Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa Downtown Convention Center, 513 S. Florida Ave., is the only entry carrying the skybridge tag, and its phone is (813) 769-8300.
Tampa Marriott Water Street at 700 S. Florida Ave. and JW Marriott Tampa Water Street at 505 Water Street both carry 0.2 miles. The Westin Tampa Waterside at 725 S. Harbour Island Blvd. carries 0.3. The Tampa EDITION, Hilton Tampa Downtown, the Hyatt Place and Hyatt House pair and ROOST Tampa all carry 0.5. That group of eight lets a delegate leave the car at home. The list gives Embassy Suites no distance figure, and the skybridge is its connection.
The garage arithmetic
The Tampa Convention Center Parking Garage sits at 141 E. Brorein Street, with 454 spaces, 11 ADA spaces, two electric-vehicle chargers and a 6-foot-6 clearance. Its published event rate is a band of $5.00 to $50.00. The non-event rate is $3 an hour with an $18 daily maximum. The garage carries no long-term parking, and the page directs long-term parkers to Pam Iorio and Fort Brooke.
The band carries no billing unit. The event rate the hall sets decides a summit week's total.
What the walkable rate has to clear
No property on the venue's list publishes a nightly rate for 1 to 5 March. The list carries a street address, a phone number and a distance. The room rate has to come from the property.
Put four questions to each property: the nightly rate for the exact nights, the cancellation deadline and its penalty, whether parking is included, and whether breakfast is included. Ask for the refundable rate and the non-refundable rate.
Between half a mile and a mile
ALOFT Tampa Downtown carries 0.6 miles. Le Meridien Tampa, The Courthouse carries 0.7 and Hotel Tampa Riverwalk 0.8. AVE Tampa Riverwalk and SpringHill Suites Tampa Downtown carry 0.9. Courtyard by Marriott Tampa Downtown, Residence Inn Tampa Downtown and The Floridan Palace Hotel carry 1 mile.
That band is a walk each way, twice a day. It also puts a garage near the room for a delegate who keeps the car.
Farther out, and the overnight question
Home2 Suites Channel District carries 1.1 miles, The Knickerbocker 1.2 and The Barrymore 1.4. Ybor City starts at 2 miles with Hampton Inn & Suites and Hotel Haya, and continues at 2.3 with Hilton Garden Inn Tampa Ybor Historic District. The Epicurean carries 2.5, Aloft and Element Tampa Midtown 4.1, Tampa Airport Marriott 8.4 and Embassy Suites Tampa Brandon 9.
A car held overnight needs a garage that takes it. Pam Iorio at 301 Channelside Drive holds 790 spaces and Fort Brooke at 107 N. Franklin Street holds 556. Both allow overnight parking to 6 a.m. The Selmon Expressway West lot at 201 S. Ashley Drive carries the same $5.00 to $50.00 event band. The front drive's 36 metered spaces charge $4 an hour and allow no overnight parking.
The building the weekend before
The Molten Florida Pre-Qualifier holds the hall from 8 a.m. Saturday 27 February to 7 p.m. Sunday 28 February, a youth volleyball tournament in the exhibit hall and meeting rooms. The summit opens at noon on Tuesday 2 March. Monday sits between them, so the Monday night lands after the tournament closes and before the summit opens.
What the venue record leaves out
The summit's entry carries no room or hall line. The volleyball tournament's entry names the exhibit hall and meeting rooms. The summit's event link resolves to a Cvent page titled "Archived Event - 19th Annual National BBCB Summit", dated 4 to 7 March 2026, which reads that the page no longer exists. Hillsborough College's summit pages carry the 19th edition and its archives, and the college's sitemap lists no 2027 page.
Confirm the daily session times with the organiser before a booking becomes non-refundable. The venue record supports the noon Tuesday start and the 2 p.m. Friday finish.
