Bricks Cascade runs two schedules in one building. The public exposition opens Saturday February 27, 2027 and closes Sunday February 28 in Halls A-A1 at the Oregon Convention Center. The AFOL convention opens Thursday February 25 and runs to Sunday February 28.
Two calendars, one building
The organiser calls the convention a four-day event for adult fans of LEGO. Registration covers the four days, general sessions, a display table for a My Own Creation, a convention brick, two custom bricks and a swag bag. The public days open the same halls to ticket holders.
The site publishes both spans. The page data carries a ticket link for the public show at oregoncc.evenue.net/events/OBRICKS. The site publishes no door time and no ticket price. The Public Exposition card on the homepage carries a More Info button that points at an empty anchor.
The venue card runs the public show from 10 a.m. Saturday to 4 p.m. Sunday and prints no per-day clock. Confirm the daily door time with the organiser before booking a train.
The night count
A Thursday check-in and a Monday checkout hold four nights. Those four nights carry the Thursday convention opening, the Friday build day and both public days.
A Wednesday arrival adds the night before the convention opens. A two-night stay covers the public weekend alone.
Bricks Cascade publishes no lodging requirement, no block and no rate. Ask the property for its minimum stay in writing before comparing anything.
The hotel page behind a login
brickscascade.com/afol/hotel/ returns a permission wall to a signed-out visitor. The page reads: Sorry, but you do not have permission to view this content. The community hotel guidance sits behind an attendee account.
A family attending the public show has no organiser block to join and no named partner property. Direct booking and the walk are the route.
The garage ceiling
The garage holds 800 spaces. Standard entry is $15 for up to 18 hours with no in and out privilege. Event days carry a dynamic entry rate of $15 to $25. Overnight parking is prohibited, and the garage takes no RVs, campers or trucks with trailers. The drive-through booths take cards.
The garage opens at 6 a.m. and fills first come, first served. It can reach capacity on a busy event day. Another 566 metered spaces sit within three blocks.
The $25 event ceiling is the number to hold against a property parking charge. A downtown property that charges more than $25 a night makes the garage cheaper, and the guest walks in.
The airport ride and the train
The convention center sits eight miles from Portland International Airport. MAX light rail stops 300 times a day at the Convention Center station on NE Holladay at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The Red Line runs to the airport. The Blue Line runs to Gresham, downtown and Hillsboro.
Portland Streetcar A Loop arrives at NE MLK and Hoyt every 15 minutes. Bus Line 6 stops at NE MLK and Holladay. An adult MAX fare is $2.80, with a $5.60 daily cap. TriMet sells a $5.60 day pass that covers the airport ride and the return.
Three shows on one weekend
The February 2027 calendar lists In10sity Dance Competition in the Oregon Ballroom, PacWest Cheer and Dance Nationals in Halls D-E and Bricks Cascade in Halls A-A1.
Three travelling rosters compete for the same rooms on both public days.
Which property, measured
Five properties sit within 0.7 km of the venue door. Distances are straight-line from the OCC pin at 45.528324, -122.663105, measured on 19 October 2026.
Inn at the Convention Center, 420 NE Holladay Street, 0.23 km. Hyatt Regency Portland, 375 NE Holladay Street, 0.24 km. Hotel Eastlund, 1021 NE Grand Avenue, 0.28 km. Motel 6, 518 NE Holladay Street, 0.28 km. DoubleTree by Hilton Portland, 1000 NE Multnomah Street, 0.65 km.
Ask each property for the rate, the minimum stay and the cancellation deadline in writing.
The booking order
Decide the convention days first. Book the four nights from Thursday, or five from Wednesday. Compare each property rate against the $25 garage ceiling and the $2.80 train fare. Ask for the minimum stay in writing before releasing a booking.
