The block and its deadline

Cloudflare Connect 2026 runs October 19 to 21 at Moscone West in San Francisco. The organiser negotiated rates at a group of San Francisco hotels, and its FAQ states the band: “prices in our hotel block ranging from $279 to $325 per night.” Four brands hold the rooms: Marriott, IHG Hotels, Hilton and World of Hyatt.

The block closed on September 28, 2026. The FAQ ties the rate and the reservation changes to that date: “Discounted room blocks for our conference attendees are available until September 28, 2026, or until the group block is sold out.” September 28 sits 21 days before the October 19 opening.

The rate sat on a first-come, first-served basis. The FAQ adds that rooms in the downtown San Francisco area fill up quickly.

The portal rule

Rooms sold through the Connect registration flow. The FAQ states the rule plainly: “To receive the Connect SF discounted rates, you must book through the official registration link, and please do not contact the hotel.” The hotel choice appears inside the registration form, and the distance from each property to Moscone West appears at that step.

The FAQ gives a second reason to keep the booking on the portal. Rates offered on hotel websites and on third-party travel sites “may be higher and do not count toward our event room block.”

The FAQ states that every partner hotel sits within a short distance of the event site, and it names a brief walk or a quick ride on BART or Muni as the routes.

The block rate against the organiser's budget line

Cloudflare publishes a second nightly figure in its budget-approval template: “Hotel: $350/night x 3 nights = $1,050.” Three nights at the top of the block rate come to $975, which leaves a $75 spread across the stay.

The live task is a rate call. Take the four brands in turn, ask for the nights of October 19 to 21, and set each answer beside the $279 to $325 band.

Which brand still holds inventory

After September 28, 2026, the group's reservations turned over to the hotels. The FAQ reads: “After September 28, 2026, when our group's reservations are turned over to the hotels, you will contact the hotel directly for any reservation changes.” An edit before the deadline ran through the registration profile or the hotel confirmation email. An edit after it runs through the hotel.

Nights and the clock

Registration opens at 8 a.m. Monday and at 7 a.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday. The Cloudflare University breakfast on Monday runs 7:30 to 9 a.m., so an attendee taking the training arrives the night before.

The FAQ asks University and Partner Summit attendees to plan an arrival on Sunday, October 18, and it asks every attendee to plan a departure on Thursday, October 22. The organiser's own template books three nights. Three nights from Sunday, October 18 leave a Wednesday, October 21 checkout, and a guest who stays for the closing party at Oracle Park on Wednesday evening adds the night of October 21.

Ask the property for the fourth night's rate before committing to it.

What to ask the property

Ask for the cancellation deadline in writing. Ask for the difference between the flexible rate and the non-refundable rate. Ask whether the group rate still attaches to the reservation, and ask for the confirmation number in writing.

The FAQ prints connect-sf@cloudflare.com for the event team and for registration support. The conference page routes general questions to connect@cloudflare.com.
