Crafty Wonderland opens Hall D at the Oregon Convention Center on Friday 11 December at 5 p.m. with a ticketed preview. General admission runs on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 December, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Friday and Saturday carry the visit. A Friday check-in and a Sunday check-out is two nights, and the Sunday evening holds nothing on the programme.
What each day asks
The Friday First Pick Party costs $25 a person and runs 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The ticket includes one drink at the cash bar and carries no entry time. A holder arrives at 7 p.m. and stays to the close.
Saturday entry costs $4 a person and carries a timed entry hour. A visitor picks the hour, arrives inside it, and stays for the rest of the day. Children aged 5 and under need no ticket.
Sunday repeats the Saturday hours. The hall closes at 5 p.m. and the show ends.
Two nights against a three-night minimum
A three-night minimum across the weekend prices the Sunday night into the booking. No Portland property in our directory publishes a minimum-stay rule for this weekend, so the terms come from the property.
Ask two questions in writing. Does a minimum-night stay apply to the 11 December weekend, and what does a two-night total look like against the three-night total the property would otherwise require.
Where a minimum does apply, place the extra night on Thursday 10 December. That night sits before the show and removes the Sunday morning move.
Saturday is the night both shows want
Scan Fair fills Halls A-A1 on 12 and 13 December. Both shows overlap on Saturday and Sunday, and both audiences need the Saturday night.
The December calendar carries a booking every few days before that. The American Northwest Nationals hold Hall D on 5 and 6 December. The Oregon Business Plan Leadership Summit holds the Portland Ballroom on 7 December. The IREM Forecast Breakfast holds Oregon Ballroom 202-204 on 10 December.
A booker who wants the Friday preview holds Friday first. A booker who wants one night holds Saturday first.
Seven properties inside 700 metres
Our Portland directory lists 278 hotels. Seven sit within 700 metres of the convention center.
Inn at the Convention Center on NE Holladay Street sits 270 metres out. Motel 6 on NE Holladay Street sits 300 metres out. Hotel Eastlund on NE Grand Avenue sits 330. Hyatt Regency Portland on NE Holladay Street sits 340. Quality Inn Downtown Convention Center on NE Multnomah Street sits 490. Courtyard Portland Downtown/Convention Center on NE Wasco Street sits 570. DoubleTree by Hilton Portland on NE Multnomah Street sits 620.
These are straight-line distances from 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, measured from OpenStreetMap coordinates on 19 October 2026. No property publishes a rate for this weekend, so ask each for the 11 and 12 December nightly figure.
The garage clock
The venue garage holds 800 cars and opens at 6 a.m. Entry runs from NE Lloyd Blvd on P1 and NE First Avenue on P2. Clearance reads 7 feet on P1 and 9 feet on P2.
Up to 18 hours costs $15 with no in-and-out privileges. A dynamic $15 to $25 applies at entry during events. Overnight parking is prohibited, so the room carries the vehicle.
Sunday checkout in writing
Sunday trading runs to 5 p.m. A morning checkout leaves a shopper without a room for the afternoon.
Two options cover it. Ask the property for a late checkout in writing, or book a venue locker. The convention center rents LocketGo lockers at the MLK Lobby, the Holladay Lobby and the Ginkoberry Concourse.
The booking order
Buy the Friday ticket first. The organiser limits the count and reports a sell-out last year.
Hold Friday and Saturday on a cancellable rate second. Ask for the Sunday checkout hour third. Add a third night only where a property requires one, and place it on Thursday.
