Gasparilla Pirate Fest runs on Saturday, 30 January 2027. The invasion holds 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Parade of Pirates runs 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Stage performances run 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park and MacDill Park.

The Jose Gasparilla II sets sail at the south end of Hillsborough Bay at 11:30 a.m., runs north through Seddon Channel between Davis Island and Harbour Island, and docks at the Tampa Convention Center at 1 p.m. The City of Tampa expects over 300,000 spectators to line the streets across the two parades.

What the organizer names

The invasion page answers the where-to-watch question in one sentence. Guests can watch the invasion from spots in downtown Tampa, including waterfront hotels, Davis Island and Harbour Island.

That sentence carries the whole of the organizer's guidance on where to stay. The site publishes no hotel partner, no room block, no group rate and no booking cut-off.

Six reserved sections, priced

Bleacher seats at Barcelona and Bayshore run $55.00 to $65.00 on the waterside, reached through Gate 2 at Barcelona Street. The organizer notes that Bay to Bay is not a gate.

First Mate chairs at Carolina and Bayshore run $80.00 to $85.00 between Rubideaux and Ardson Place. First Mate chairs at Rome and Bayshore run $85.00 to $90.00 between Gunby and Rome, closest to Hyde Park Village.

Marina District bleachers run $60.00 to $70.00 on the waterside between the Davis Island Bridge and the Platt Street Bridge. The page calls them the bleacher seats closest to the Invasion Brunch and states that the Platt Street Bridge is not an access route.

Marina District First Mate chairs run $85.00 to $90.00 in the center median, and the page calls them the closest First Mate seats to the convention center.

Each section is sold for 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., apart from Rome First Mate, which runs to 7:30 p.m. Scully hospitality is $190.00 general admission for 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and carries bleacher seating, a tented area, a picnic buffet and two drink tickets.

The Invasion Brunch costs $175.00 at the Tampa Convention Center, 333 S. Franklin Street. It covers the invasion window from inside the convention center, and the organizer describes it as the best view of the invasion.

Prices include service fees, and sales tax is added at purchase. The shop states that there are no refunds or exchanges.

The harbour room

The City of Tampa publishes a nearby-hotels list for the convention center. The list carries 27 entries and 26 properties, and Le Méridien appears twice at two distances. That duplicate is one reason to confirm a distance with the property.

The Westin Tampa Waterside at 725 S. Harbour Island Boulevard sits 0.3 miles from the center on that list. The channel the ship transits runs between Davis Island and Harbour Island, and that address sits on Harbour Island.

Tampa Marriott Water Street and JW Marriott Tampa Water Street each sit 0.2 miles out. Embassy Suites connects to the center by sky bridge.

None of those pages publishes a channel-facing rate, a minimum stay or a parade package. The hotel list carries names, streets, distances and phone numbers.

Ask the hotel for the nightly rate, the minimum stay, the cancellation deadline and written confirmation that the room faces Seddon Channel. A room on the inland side of the island buys the address, and no page states which side a given room sits on.

What each product covers

A Bayshore seat covers the parade and its own block of the route. The brunch covers the invasion from inside the convention center.

Bought together, a brunch seat and a Bayshore seat cost $230.00 to $265.00. A harbour room covers both windows from one address, and no source prices that view.

The event itself is free to attend. The 4.5-mile route runs from Bay to Bay Boulevard along Bayshore to Brorein Street, east to Ashley Drive, and north to Cass Street.

The buying order

The brunch is the scarce seat. The organizer states that seating is limited and asks guests to buy in advance.

Early-bird pricing closes on 31 December 2026. The June 2026 release put Pirate Fest bleacher seating at $50, First Mate at $80 and Scully at $185. The shop now lists $55.00 to $65.00 for those bleachers, $80.00 to $90.00 for First Mate and $190.00 for Scully.

Book the room after the seat. Put the rate, the minimum stay, the cancellation deadline and the side of the island in writing, and hold that confirmation with the ticket confirmation.
