The week the schedule describes

Miami Art Week 2026 runs from Tuesday, December 1 to Sunday, December 6. The official schedule lists eighteen fairs, six of them still without dates, and adds featured programming of its own. The two anchors sit about 6 km apart, an 11-minute drive across the causeway. Art Basel Miami Beach takes the Miami Beach Convention Center at 1901 Convention Center Drive from December 4 to 6. Art Miami opens at One Herald Plaza on December 1 with public hours from 4 to 8 p.m., a day before the Basel private days begin on December 2 at 11 a.m. The Miami Art Week hub page prints 4 to 7 p.m. for that window. The fair’s own practical information page prints 4 to 8 p.m., with CONTEXT running to 9:30 p.m.

Five nights from December 1

Five nights, checking in Tuesday December 1 and out Sunday December 6, puts a room behind every public day up to the last one. The night-by-night return:

Tuesday December 1 buys the only afternoon that Art Miami and CONTEXT hold public hours ahead of the Basel programme, 4 to 8 p.m. and 4 to 9:30 p.m., plus the first public hours at arteNXT and photoMIAMI, noon to 6 p.m. at 2300 North Miami Avenue.

Wednesday December 2 is the day Basel’s private days open, by invitation only at 11 a.m. and again at 4 p.m. The public doors that day are arteNXT and photoMIAMI from noon to 6 p.m. and Aqua Art Miami’s VIP preview from 3 to 10 p.m. at the Aqua Hotel, 1530 Collins Avenue.

Thursday December 3 carries Basel’s Vernissage from 4 to 7 p.m., also by invitation, alongside arteNXT from noon to 9 p.m., Aqua from noon to 9 p.m. and Art Miami from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Friday December 4 is the first Basel public day, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., with arteNXT 11 to 6, Aqua 11 to 9 and Art Miami 11 to 7.

Saturday December 5 repeats the Basel public day at 11 to 6 and stretches arteNXT and Aqua to 9 p.m.

Sunday December 6 is the day five nights check out. Basel, Art Miami, Aqua and arteNXT all open at 11 a.m. and close at 6 p.m.

Five nights covers every public day of the week with one decision left open: the Sunday. A sixth night, December 6, is the hold that keeps a room through the final six hours.

Two nights from December 4

Two nights, Friday and Saturday, check out Sunday and cover Art Basel Miami Beach alone: two public days at 11 to 6, a short drive from the beach venues, and nothing else on the calendar. Sunday is a third public day at the same hours, so the two-night version is complete when Sunday is a travel day. A booker who wants the whole Basel run is buying three nights.

The November 30 arrival

An extra night before the week opens buys something specific. The Official Miami Art Week Kickoff Party runs Monday November 30 from 6 to 10 p.m. and is invitation only, so a room does not buy admission to it. The Monday night buys a Tuesday morning without a flight, plus AfriKin Art Fair, whose vernissage runs Sunday November 29 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Maison AfriKin, 1600 NE 126th Street in North Miami, and whose public days begin November 30.

Two clusters, one booking

The week splits across Biscayne Bay. The beach cluster holds Basel at the convention centre, Aqua at 1530 Collins Avenue, Scope at 801 Ocean Drive and UNTITLED at Ocean Drive and 12th Street. The mainland cluster holds Art Miami and CONTEXT at One Herald Plaza, NADA at Ice Palace Studios, 1400 North Miami Avenue, Spectrum and Red Dot at Mana Wynwood, 2217 NW 5th Avenue, and arteNXT with photoMIAMI at 2300 North Miami Avenue. Road distances measured from the Mana Wynwood door: 10.8 km and about 15 minutes to the convention centre, 2.5 km to One Herald Plaza, 1.7 km to Ice Palace Studios, and 15 km and about 24 minutes to Miami International Airport. A Wynwood room puts four mainland venues inside 2.5 km and the beach a quarter of an hour away. A South Beach room runs the same distances the other way.

What a room has to cover

The room rate covers part of the bill. Ask each property for its resort or urban fee, its nightly parking charge and its deposit authorisation before comparing rates. Ask for the check-in and checkout times in the same reply, because the Sunday checkout decides the fifth night.

The order to book in

Choose the cluster first, because the cluster decides which fairs sit inside a short drive. Book a rate with a printed cancellation deadline before buying a ticket. Then count nights against the Sunday: five from December 1 for the week, six to hold the final day, two from December 4 for Basel alone, and one extra for the November 30 programme if an invitation is already in hand.

The Florida restriction

hotelhuddle.com/seller-of-travel, last updated October 18, 2026, states that the platform cannot process hotel booking requests from residents of or for travel to Florida until its Florida Seller of Travel registration is obtained. The page names Hawaii, Iowa and Washington on the same list, cites Chapter 559 of the Florida Statutes, and routes questions to compliance@hotelhuddle.com.

A Miami room books direct with the property, on the flexible rate, with the cancellation deadline confirmed in writing.
