Five Evenings With nights first, then the free Friday

Miami Book Fair runs eight days, 15 to 22 November 2026. The ticketed author sessions sit in the first five nights. The Street Fair takes the last three days, and Friday the 20th costs nothing. Book the nights in that order, then the tickets.

Five nights carry the ticketed sessions

The Evenings With series publishes its own run of dates, each with a start time. On Sunday 15 November: Zibby Owens at 3 p.m. with Rochelle B. Weinstein in the Auditorium, Santiago Roncagliolo with María Antonieta Collins at 3 p.m. in Building 2, Willie Perdomo with Mayra Santos-Febres at 4:30 p.m., Planet Money at 5 p.m., and Tony Shalhoub with Josie Adams at 7 p.m.

Monday 16 November brings Manny Diaz and Elizabeth Plater-Zyberk at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday 17 November carries David Grutman at 6:30 p.m. and Jeff Garlin at 8 p.m. Wednesday 18 November pairs Rick Sopher with Marc David Baer at 6:30 p.m. and Brad Meltzer with Brad Thor at 8 p.m. Thursday 19 November has Elena Armas with Meg Cabot at 6:30 p.m. and Colson Whitehead at 8 p.m.

Every one of those five dates carries an evening session, and the last three carry both a 6:30 p.m. and an 8 p.m. session on the same night. The block of nights from 15 to 19 November, with a check-out on Friday the 20th, covers all of them.

Prices on the series run from free to $45. Five of the published sessions carry no charge; the ticketed ones are $20 for Meltzer and Thor, $25 for Armas, $30 for Grutman, $35 for Planet Money, $35 for Shalhoub, $35 for Whitehead and $45 for Garlin. The Fair's FAQ states that a paid Evenings With session often comes with a copy of the book being presented, which changes the arithmetic on the $20 and $25 tickets.

Then add the Street Fair nights

The Street Fair opens Friday 20 November, free for everyone, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. with gates at 9 a.m. Saturday 21 November runs 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., gates also at 9 a.m. Sunday 22 November runs 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., gates at 9 a.m.

Three more nights, the 20th, 21st and 22nd, take the stay to a Monday 23 November check-out and hold the room through the Sunday 6 p.m. close. Drop the night of the 22nd and the stay ends on the morning of the final day, with the fair running another eight hours and the bags in a lobby.

The $18 multiday ticket against two $12 tickets

The Fair publishes one ticket ladder for the Street Fair. Single day: adult $12, senior over 62 $7, teen 13 to 18 $5. Multiday: adult $18, senior $12, teen $8. Children 12 and under are free, and Miami Dade College students, faculty and staff enter free with a valid MDC ID.

Two single adult days cost $24. The multiday ticket costs $18, so the Saturday and Sunday pair saves $6 per adult. The senior pair runs $14 against $12 and the teen pair $10 against $8.

Friday is free for everyone, which is why the Fair sells Saturday, Sunday and multiday tickets as three separate buttons. There is no three-day pass to buy.

The garage that takes parking off the bill

Parking at the MDC Wolfson Campus Parking Garage is free for all eight days of the festival, 15 to 22 November. The garage is at 500 NE Second Ave, with the entrance on NE Fifth Street between First and Second avenues. The Fair closes streets around the campus and tells drivers to map their route to 145 NE Fifth Street. It also warns that there is a one-block walk between the garage and the closest entrance.

Paid options sit nearby if the garage fills. The Miami Parking Authority runs College Station at 190 NE Third St, entered from NE Second Street, and the Convention Center garage at 100 SE Second St in the Bank of America building.

A zero parking line changes the hotel arithmetic. Put any nightly valet or garage fee into the comparison before the room rate decides it.

A base 238 m from the campus

YOTEL Miami at 227 NE 2nd Street sits 238 m in a straight line from the Wolfson campus. Its published terms decide the last day. Check-in is any time after 3 p.m., check-out is before 11 a.m., early check-in costs $55 before 2 p.m., and late check-out costs $100 until 2 p.m., then 50 percent of the best available rate until 5 p.m., then the full rate beyond that.

For a Sunday that closes at 6 p.m., the 5 p.m. step reaches the final hour. The night of the 19th earns its place the same way: a check-out on the morning of the 19th would end the stay before Colson Whitehead's 8 p.m. session.

Two more lines belong in the budget. The mandatory facility fee is $37. The hotel runs no on-site parking and points guests to Bayfront Parking at 255 NE 1st St, self-park with validation from $35 plus tax and no in-and-out privilege.

The booking order

1. Reserve the nights of 15 to 19 November, five nights, checking out on the 20th.

2. Add the nights of 20, 21 and 22 November for the Street Fair, with a Monday 23 November check-out.

3. Buy the $18 adult multiday ticket for Saturday and Sunday. Friday needs no ticket.

4. Drive to 500 NE Second Ave and budget $0 for parking.

5. Price the late check-out in writing before arrival.

Five nights, three nights, one $18 ticket and a free garage leave the room rate as the only open number.
