The Miami Grit Classic runs February 12 through 15, 2027 in Arnold Hall at the Miami-Dade County Fair Expo Center, 10901 SW 24th Street, Miami. Team Travel Source handles housing for the meet. Its event page carries the booking route and a support line at 502-354-9103. The same page carries one note that shapes every rate decision:
“NOTE: TTS Live! event rates are based on demand and subject to change. TTS Live Events do not qualify for the Lowest Rate Guarantee.”
The rate moves with demand, and the guarantee the same company publishes does not apply to this event.
Book the Block, Then Watch the Public Rate
Book through Team Travel Source. The meet names the partner as its housing provider, and the block is the mechanism the meet expects. Check the public rate for the same room and dates as the meet approaches.
Where a cheaper identical room appears, the partner publishes a Report a Lower Rate form. Submit it. The answer for a TTS Live event runs narrow.
What the Form Asks For
Name, programme or team name, phone, email, hotel name and address, event name, event type, check-in and check-out dates, and up to three file uploads of 64 MB each for screenshots. The event type list carries Cheer/Dance/Gymnastics, which is the row for this meet. A submission without the hotel address or the exact dates cannot be matched against a contracted rate.
What the Guarantee Covers
The partner defines its Lowest Rate Guarantee as an identical comparison: same room type, same dates, same included amenities, same payment terms and same cancellation terms. The rate has to belong to a partner hotel listed on its site.
Several rate classes sit outside it: rates from Expedia, Travelocity, Hotels.com or Priceline, AAA and AARP membership rates, corporate negotiated rates, government rates, hotel employee and friends-and-family rates, and any prepaid or non-refundable rate. Booking fees paid through the partner do not count toward the room rate. Rates for events where the guarantee is not advertised do not qualify.
The Miami Grit page carries the TTS Live note, which puts this meet outside the guarantee. Submit the form on a cheaper rate and plan on a considered reply. Build the budget on the rate in front of you.
The Cut-Off Date Closes the Window
The guarantee runs only to the contracted cut-off date, which the partner describes as roughly one month before the event. After the rooms release to the hotel, the property can sell the same inventory at lower rates and those rates sit outside the guarantee. A cheaper rate found in January for a February 12 arrival falls outside it.
Four Nights, Friday to Monday
February 12 is a Friday and February 15 a Monday. Four nights means a Friday check-in and a Tuesday February 16 checkout. Levels 1 through 10 and the Xcel divisions compete across the run. Each day on the meet page still reads that its schedule is to be announced, so the block has to span all four days.
The meet page lists admission cost and parking cost as TBA. Ask the venue at 305.223.7060 for the parking charge and ask the hotel whether parking is included. Put both numbers into the comparison.
A Second Event Fills the Grounds That Weekend
The venue calendar lists the Miami Winter International Open 2027, a jiu-jitsu event, in the Fuchs Pavilion from February 12 to 14. The Grit Classic itself uses Arnold Hall, Reilly Coliseum, Edwards Hall and the Fair Expo Grille.
Two room draws hit one set of gates on one weekend. Hold the block early and hold all four nights. A block built on Friday and Saturday leaves the Sunday and Monday nights at the public rate.
Register the Team Before the Block
Registration carries its own clock. Standard entry is $190 and includes team entry and a gift leotard, with a November 2, 2026 deadline. After that date the price reads $200, and emergency registration at the event reads $210. The meet refunds nothing after November 2 and accepts substitutions to a January 6, 2027 deadline. A 50 percent injury refund runs against a medical note to the same date. Credit cards carry a 3.5 percent surcharge.
The January 6 substitution deadline sets the last date a roster change is accepted. That date fixes the last point at which a team knows who is travelling. Order the block against a registered roster.
How the Block Works
Group blocks through the partner start at three rooms. Choose the room count from the dropdown, set check-in and check-out dates, then view hotels. Open availability on a property and set rooms per bed type per night with the arrow keys, then hold the selected rooms. A timer runs on the hold.
The confirmation step collects contact and group information and produces a booking link to send to parents. One block can hold more than one property, and one property can hold more than one bed type.
The Booking Order
Register the team, confirm the four nights against the published schedule, hold the block from Friday to Monday, and check the public rate before the cut-off. Where a cheaper identical rate appears, file the form and keep the reply with the reservation.
The meet page prints the guarantee note under the housing details. Read it before the rate conversation.
