Two prices and one deadline

Industry and contractor registration for MILAM 2027 costs $1,390 until 4 December 2026. From 5 December the same pass costs $1,590, and $1,590 holds until 22 January 2027. The summit opens on 26 January 2027, 53 days after the deadline.

MILAM is the Military Additive Manufacturing Summit and Technology Showcase, in its 11th year and run by the Defense Strategies Institute. The main conference and exhibits run 26-27 January 2027 and Workshop Day runs 28 January 2027 at the Tampa Convention Center, 333 S. Franklin Street.

The City of Tampa lists the building span as 8 a.m. on Tuesday 26 January to 4 p.m. on Thursday 28 January, in the West Hall, the meeting rooms and the ballrooms.

The badge clock and the room clock

DSI names four downtown partner hotels at discounted rates. Its venue page carries one warning on those discounts: many expire at the end of the year.

DSI publishes no nightly rate and no expiry date. Ask each property for the summit rate and the date it lapses, and keep the answer in writing.

Book the badge and the room in the same sitting, before 4 December. Treat 30 December as the outer edge of the discount window until a property says otherwise.

Four properties and four links

All four hotels sit downtown, and each Check Availability link on the DSI venue page goes to that property's own reservation system. Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa Downtown Convention Center is at 513 S. Florida Avenue, Hotel Tampa Riverwalk at 200 N. Ashley Drive, Aloft by Marriott Tampa Downtown at 100 W. Kennedy Boulevard, and Hyatt Place Tampa Downtown at 325 N. Florida Avenue.

One of the four prints a rate before you search. The Aloft link opens a Marriott group page headed 2027 Defense Strategies, with a window of 23-28 January and $309 a night. That is five nights where the summit needs three. Set your own dates on every link.

The Embassy Suites block runs 24-28 January under the header Defense Strategies Institute - 2027. Hyatt Place asks for dates first. The Hotel Tampa Riverwalk link returns a Hilton 404 page, so call that property.

Three nights, Monday to Thursday

The summit starts at 8 a.m. on Tuesday 26 January, and the venue booking opens at 8 a.m. that morning. A delegate from out of town arrives on Monday 25 January.

Check out on Thursday 28 January if you attend Workshop Day. The venue booking ends at 4 p.m. that afternoon. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday: three nights. Skip Workshop Day and the stay drops to two nights, with a Wednesday checkout.

The other price ladders

Non-profit, academia and FFRDC registration runs $990 until 4 December and $1,090 until 22 January 2027. Active-duty military and government attendees register at no charge for every main-conference type, by emailing Emma Watters at ewatters@dsigroup.org from an active .mil or .gov address.

Workshop Day is a separate registration and sits outside the main conference fee. It adds $595 for industry and for non-profit, academia and FFRDC, and $199 for military and government. DSI prices group bookings above five attendees on request, and offers a discretionary rate for organisations that cannot attend within budget, both by email to ewatters@dsigroup.org.

Cancelling and substituting

Cancellations must arrive in writing no later than 20 working days before the first day of the event. Counting weekdays back from 26 January puts that date at 29 December 2026. Substitutions must arrive no later than five business days before the start, which is 19 January 2027 on a weekday count. DSI processes later substitutions on site.

If DSI cancels or postpones the event, registrants receive a credit for the fee, usable on the new dates or on any future DSI event for one year. Price that credit into a travel budget that has already paid for a hotel.

Parking and the walk in

DSI publishes parking at $15 a day in the Convention Center Garage at 107 N. Franklin Street, across the road from the venue. The City of Tampa lists the Fort Brooke Garage at the same address. Confirm which garage the $15 covers, and confirm the day rate at the gate.

DSI serves a light breakfast, coffee, networking refreshments and a full lunch on both main days. Civilian attendees dress in business dress. Military attendees wear the uniform of the day.

Reserve through DSI's own links

DSI's scam page states that travel companies present themselves as part of DSI and offer prices for named hotels. Only the official hotel information page carries links to the approved properties. Send housing questions to Nick Liberato-Randall at nliberatorandall@dsigroup.org, and route suspected solicitations to customerservice@dsigroup.org or 201.210.8804.

A delegation booking sends one brief through hotelHuddle's request form to 50+ hotels in the destination city. Submitting costs nothing, responses arrive within 24-72 hours, and the rate you pay the hotel carries no markup.
