The date, the venue and the clock
Monster Jam Freestyle Mania Presented by Spin Master runs at Moda Center from Friday 5 March to Sunday 7 March 2027. The venue lists four performances: Friday at 7:00 p.m., Saturday at noon and again at 6:00 p.m., and Sunday at noon.
The address is One Center Court, Portland, OR 97227. The Rose Quarter box office opens two hours before any event and answers on (503) 486-1470.
The venue page publishes the Friday start and leaves the rest of the clock open. The doors field reads blank, the estimated end reads blank, and the time line reads TBD above the 7:00 p.m. start. Build the room around a 7:00 p.m. start and an unpublished finish.
Seven hotels, seven phone numbers, no rate
The venue's Where To Stay page names seven properties within two miles of Moda Center. Each entry carries a short description and a telephone number. None carries a nightly rate, a group code or a booking deadline.
Hotel deLuxe, (503) 219-2094, sits in Goose Hollow with Gracie's restaurant and the Driftwood Room lounge. Hotel Eastlund, (503) 235-2100, stands across from the Oregon Convention Center and runs a rooftop restaurant. Canopy by Hilton Portland Pearl District, (971) 351-0230, is a 10-story building with 153 rooms in the Pearl District.
Hyatt Regency Portland at the Oregon Convention Center, (971) 222-1234, opened in December 2019 and sits steps from both the Convention Center and Moda Center. The Benson Portland, (503) 228-2000, holds 287 rooms downtown. Crowne Plaza Portland Downtown Convention Center, (503) 233-2401, sits in the Lloyd District with an indoor saltwater pool. Cambria Hotel, (971) 430-3115, is in the Pearl District.
What the two-mile radius says
The page gives the radius and stops. It publishes no distance per property, no walking time and no ordering by proximity. Three entries cluster near the Convention Center on the east side of the river: Eastlund, Hyatt Regency and Crowne Plaza. Two sit in the Pearl District: Canopy and Cambria. The Benson sits downtown and Hotel deLuxe in Goose Hollow.
Read the radius as a shortlist. The route from any one of the seven to One Center Court is a question for that front desk.
The first question: parking on an event night
The venue publishes the parking picture for its own campus. More than 2,500 spaces sit across four garages and two lots. Garden Garage connects directly to Moda Center, holds 1,038 spaces including 24 accessible spaces and 8 EV charging stations, and gives the closest access to I-5. East and West Garages hold 1,087 spaces between them, with 26 accessible and 18 EV stations. Annex Garage holds 350 spaces, with 9 accessible and 2 EV stations. Aegean Lot holds about 500 spaces and Benton Lot 92.
Three venue rules shape the call. The garages open roughly two hours before an event. The campus is cashless, and the payment points take cards, tap to pay or pre-paid passes. The venue states that pre-paid parking is highly recommended because parking sells out often and early.
Those counts describe the venue's garages. A guest arriving Friday afternoon wants to park once and leave the car. Ask the property three things: whether a guest can keep a car in the hotel garage through the show, what the hotel charges for that night, and what the garage clearance is. The venue publishes 6 feet 8 inches for Garden and Annex and 8 feet 2 inches for East and West. A hotel garage is a separate structure with its own clearance.
The second question: a late check-out after the show
A 7:00 p.m. start with an unpublished end time puts a standard checkout on the wrong side of the night. Ask for the standard checkout hour first. Then ask whether the property will confirm a late check-out at the time of booking, what it charges, and whether a day-use rate exists for a room held into the evening.
Get the answer into the reservation confirmation.
Which nights the ticket needs
A Friday ticket needs the Friday night. A Saturday ticket at noon or 6:00 p.m. needs the Saturday night, and so does a Sunday noon ticket for anyone driving in from outside the metro. A ticket to the whole run needs both nights, Friday 5 and Saturday 6 March, with a Sunday checkout.
Count the nights against the ticket in hand before dialling.
What to have ready before the call
Five items shorten the conversation. The arrival and departure dates. The number of rooms and the number of adults. The vehicle height, if the hotel garage matters to you. A note on whether you need an accessible space, because the venue counts 24 at Garden Garage and 26 across East and West. A card, because the whole campus runs cashless.
Five answers to get in writing
1. The nightly rate for the exact dates, with taxes and fees included. 2. The parking arrangement for a registered guest on show night, and its price. 3. The checkout hour, and the fee for holding the room later. 4. The cancellation deadline and the penalty that follows it. 5. The name of the person who confirmed items one through four.
What the call produces
Seven properties, seven phone numbers, one 7:00 p.m. start. The venue publishes no room rate for any of the seven. Ask the Hyatt Regency first: the venue page places it steps from both the Convention Center and Moda Center, so its answer gives this booking its first number. Use that number to price the other six.
