The 2026 CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon runs on Saturday, 7 November. Race weekend runs 5 to 7 November. The event's hotel block moves through four dated steps, and each step changes what a reservation can still do.
The four dated steps
29 September – deadline to assign guest occupant names to rooms held under one name.
8 October – deadline to cancel without penalty. A $25 fee applies to each reservation cancelled after Thursday, 8 October 2026. The property charges a cancellation or a no-show after 22 October.
5 to 16 October – the window for new reservations and added nights. The date varies by hotel and stays subject to availability.
22 October – deadline to modify an existing reservation through the Housing Bureau, including a change of name. After 22 October the property handles changes directly.
Book early. Hold the reservation while cancellation stays free. Add the Thursday night inside the October window where the property releases it.
A Thursday arrival or a Friday arrival
Packet pickup runs at the Monumental Health & Fitness Expo on Thursday, 5 November, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and on Friday, 6 November, 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Indiana Convention Center.
A Friday arrival covers race morning on one night. Check in during the day, clear packet pickup inside the nine-hour window, sleep, and walk to gear check when it opens at 6:30 a.m. at Washington Street and West Street. The half marathon and the marathon start at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, the 5K at 8:40 a.m., and the course closes at 3:30 p.m.
A Thursday arrival adds the second night and reaches the shorter expo window.
Collect the official clear gear check bag at the expo on Thursday or Friday. Gear check accepts that bag alone. Race Day Packet Will Call is a paid product with limited quantities, bought at registration or later through the participant account.
For both nights, book the Friday first and add the Thursday inside the 5 to 16 October window. Added days can sit outside block pricing, and the night can be gone.
How to book inside the block
On the 2026 Hotel Block site, select “Attendee” in the dropdown and leave the access code field blank.
A search that returns nothing can mean the block holds single or non-sequential nights only for the dates requested. Call the property for the missing night. Added days can sit outside block pricing.
The Visit Indy Housing Bureau keeps a waitlist for a preferred property. Email housing@visitindy.com or call 317-262-8191, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET. The bureau calls to confirm when the property opens for the dates requested and sends a new acknowledgment.
The room supply behind the four nights
Downtown Indianapolis holds 7,100 hotel rooms. More than half sit within blocks of the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium, and 4,700 connect to the convention center by skywalk.
Visit Indy counts its connected package at 12 hotels and 5,200 rooms. The Signia Hilton Indianapolis adds 803 rooms to that package.
The same week at the convention center
The expo carries a forecast attendance of 20,000 for Friday, 6 November, in Exhibit Hall A-B. The National Science Teaching Association fall convention runs 4 to 7 November with a forecast of 4,000. The Midwest Healthcare Engineering Conference & Trade Show opens 8 to 10 November in Exhibit Hall A with a forecast of 600, and its arrival wave meets a Sunday checkout.
Parking, skywalks and the ride in
The race's parking page counts 73,000-plus spots around Indianapolis and posts race-day parking options in the fall. ParkMobile services most street spots and flat lots around the city.
The convention center counts more than 70,000 parking spaces downtown. Denison Parking operates all Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium lots and answers at (317) 916-1760.
Skywalk and facility hours are event-dependent, with a rule of thumb of lock-down near 11:00 p.m. and reopening near 6:00 a.m. Gear check opens at 6:30 a.m.
IndyGo runs the city bus service and Open Door paratransit, reachable at (317) 635-3344. The Maryland Street canopy is the recommended spot for taxi pick-ups and drop-offs, and access there can be restricted during events.
Ten rooms or more
hotelhuddle sends one request to 50 or more hotels in the destination. Most properties quote group rates from 10 rooms per night, and some quote from five rooms depending on season and availability.
