The conference and the nights it needs
The Midwest Multifamily Conference runs Thursday, October 15 to Friday, October 16, 2026 at the Indiana Convention Center, 100 South Capitol Avenue, Indianapolis. The association's schedule lists 20 education sessions across 16 industry topics. The trade show sits in Hall H with registration outside its entrance, and the association describes hundreds of suppliers showing across both days.
That schedule fixes your room nights. A 7:30 a.m. Thursday start puts your arrival on Wednesday, October 14. A 5:00 p.m. Friday close puts your checkout on Friday, October 16. Two nights means the nights of Wednesday the 14th and Thursday the 15th. Add a third night if you stay for the awards dinner on Friday and check out Saturday.
Hold a refundable rate while the programme fills
The association's cancellation ladder scales by date. A written cancellation after September 25, 2026 draws a 50 percent refund. A cancellation after October 6, 2026 draws nothing. A substitution after October 6 carries a $25 service charge, and that charge applies at onsite registration on October 15 and 16. A substitution needs written authorisation from the original registrant.
Registration for the full-conference, single-day and trade-show plans closes at 12:00 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, October 14. The awards-dinner plan closes earlier, at 11:59 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, October 13. Registration is still open, so the shape of your trip can change after you book a room.
Match the room terms to that uncertainty. Three structures cover nearly every quote you will see: a flexible rate you can cancel up to a stated deadline, a non-refundable rate at a lower nightly price, and a group block carrying its own cancellation and attrition terms. Ask the property to state the cancellation deadline in writing. Ask for the nightly gap between its flexible and non-refundable prices.
The association holds rooms at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown, 350 West Maryland Street. The discounted rate closed on September 14, 2026. The association publishes no nightly figure for that block.
Connected rooms and downtown rooms outside the network
The convention centre counts 7,100 hotel rooms downtown and 4,700 rooms connected to the building by skywalk. Visit Indy counts 12 hotels and 5,200 rooms inside the connected package. Visit Indy states the downtown walking-distance total will pass 10,000 rooms. The skywalks lock down at approximately 11:00 p.m. and reopen at approximately 6:00 a.m., and the centre states both hours are event-dependent.
A connected room keeps the walk indoors between the 7:30 a.m. Thursday start and the 5:00 p.m. Friday close. That advantage ends at the lockdown hour. Downtown holds 200 restaurants within walking distance. Weigh the two placements on the all-in nightly figure, with parking and any mandatory property fee added.
Addresses inside the connected core include the JW Marriott Indianapolis at 10 South West Street, The Westin Indianapolis at 241 West Washington Street, and the Marriott Indianapolis Downtown at 350 West Maryland Street. Omni Severin Hotel sits at 40 West Jackson Place, and the Holiday Inn Indianapolis Downtown at 515 South West Street.
How the midweek nights price
Indianapolis averages $128 a night across 1.2 million public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026, per Engine's city page. October averages $134, about 5 percent above the city figure. The month-by-month table runs from $107 in February to $158 in May, a 32 percent swing across the year. Engine states its rates are par rates, the cheapest public price at search time, observed 10 to 180 days before check-in. Engine states the month of stay moves the price more than the booking lead time.
Two calendar facts sit either side of your stay. The Indiana IT Symposium runs October 14 in the same building, with a forecast attendance of 300. The next event after your Friday checkout is the National FFA Convention on October 21. Ask the property to quote each night separately.
Send the request before you book retail

Logistics to confirm before you commit
Denison Parking operates every Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium lot. Downtown holds more than 70,000 parking spaces, and you can reserve and pre-pay online at either venue. IndyGo runs the city bus service and the Open Door paratransit service at (317) 635-3344. The airport Ground Transportation Center sits on the first floor of the Terminal Garage and connects bus service, car rental, taxis, Uber and Lyft, hotel courtesy vehicles and limousines. The Maryland Street canopy is the recommended taxi point, and access can be restricted during some events. The drive from the airport to the convention centre runs about 15 minutes.
