No On-Site Ticket Sales on Dec. 12

Christmas In The Country runs Saturday, Dec. 12, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cracker Country, the living history museum inside the Florida State Fairgrounds, 4800 U.S. Hwy 301 N, Tampa. The venue calendar carries the same six-hour window.

The museum’s rule decides the booking: “Advanced ticket purchase is required. We regret that there will be no on-site ticket sales. All ticket sales are final.” A family that drives to Gate 2 without a ticket in hand does not get in.

Four Tiers, Three of Them Priced

Adults 12 and up pay $16. Seniors pay $14. Students ages 6 to 11 pay $12. Children 0 to 5 enter free.

The checkout page behind the Buy Tickets button lists the same three paid tiers at the same prices. Each tier carries a computed fee of zero, and the platform’s processing-fee switch is off. The total is the face value.

Two adults and two school-age children come to $56. Add one parking pass at $10 and the day costs $66 before the General Store.

The order form offers 0 to 25 tickets per tier. That ceiling reaches a school or church group. A household does not approach it.

Order Early, and Get Nothing for Waiting

The venue publishes no cutoff date and no closing time for sales. Inventory limits the sale. One Saturday and one six-hour window make that inventory small, and no page prints the number.

The tier prices are fixed. Waiting buys no discount. Every sale is final, so the commitment is identical on any day. Order when the trip is decided.

Parking Is $10 Online and $12 Onsite

The event page carries the split: “$10 online | $12 onsite.” It carries the route too: “Enter the Fairgrounds via MLK Parking Entrance and park near Gate 2.” Cracker Country sits at the MLK Blvd entrance, Gate 2.

The parking portal lists three products dated Dec. 12, 2026. UFLY carries “Enter through Hwy 301 entrance,” a “Day Pass $15.00” and “General Parking $10.00.” AAYA lists “General Parking $10.00” with no gate line. Fairgrounds Flea lists “Enter thru MLK Entrance” at $10. None of the three carries this event’s name. Ask Cracker Country which pass covers a Christmas In The Country vehicle before paying for one.

The catalogue terms apply to whichever pass you buy. Parking does not include event entry. Each ticket is good for one parking entry. Tickets are not refundable, transferable or rained out. Convenience fees sit inside the listed price.

The Fairgrounds Flea runs noon to 6 p.m. at the Florida Center on the same MLK entrance and the same Gate 2 pair. Between noon and 4 p.m. both events use the lot. A mid-afternoon trip to the car costs a second pass.

Six Hours Fit One Night

A 10 a.m. open and a 4 p.m. close make Saturday both the arrival day and the departure day. The room night is Friday, Dec. 11.

The event itself requires no overnight. A household inside Tampa Bay drives in on Saturday morning and is home for dinner. The Friday night serves a party that wants to walk in at 10 a.m. after a drive. Price it as a convenience line.

Across the Street, 0.2 Miles

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tampa Fairgrounds Casino sits 0.2 miles from the grounds. The venue partner card reads “directly across the street from the Florida State Fairgrounds.” The venue directions name the hotel at the U.S. 301 entrance turn: “Turn LEFT at The Fairgrounds entrance across from the Holiday Inn Express and Winghouse Restaurant.”

Ask the front desk for the walk to the MLK entrance and how long it takes with a stroller. The 0.2 miles measures to the grounds. The museum’s four-acre complex sits inside them.

The 1.5-Mile Fallback

Wyndham Garden Tampa Fairgrounds/Casino sits 1.5 miles out. Its card reads “just one mile from the Florida State Fairgrounds” in the copy and 1.5 miles in the Distance field. Plan on 1.5. The property opened in 2025 and publishes free parking, free Wi-Fi, an outdoor heated pool, a 24/7 fitness center and a pet policy.

Free guest parking removes the property-side charge. A guest who leaves the car there and buys one $10 pass pays no lot fee as well.

The Day’s Cash Cost

Admission for two adults and two students is $56. Parking online is $10. Three activities cost $2 each: a beeswax candle dip, a rope twist and an indigo dye. The General Store takes cash, debit and credit cards.

Budget $66 plus activity money. That figure is the total a hotel quote has to beat. It also makes the Friday night optional for a household within an hour of the gate.

What to Put in the Request

Send six lines: one night, Dec. 11; early check-in Friday afternoon; the rate for two queens; the walk time to the MLK entrance; a cutoff date and the cancellation term; and whether the house lot is free for guests.

hotelhuddle sends one request to 50+ hotels in a destination. Hotels return competing quotes in 24 to 72 hours. All hotelhuddle brands are free to use, with no booking fee and no commission added to the rate. The group form takes 10 or more rooms a night.
