Oregon Ballet Theatre runs 18 performances of George Balanchine's The Nutcracker at Keller Auditorium from Dec. 5 to Dec. 24, 2026. The advertised floor is $39. Tickets are nonrefundable. An exchange costs $6 per ticket.
The exchange rule, in four parts
The box office policy carries four terms. The fee is $6 per ticket, so a party of four pays $24 to move. The exchange applies to another performance of the same production. The request must arrive before the original curtain. Seats must exist at the new date.
Subscribers pay no exchange fee. Every other ticket pays the $6.
Eleven performances fall in the last six days
The calendar is lopsided. Dec. 5 carries a 2:00 p.m. and a 7:30 p.m. curtain, Dec. 6 a 2:00 p.m., Dec. 11 a 7:30 p.m., Dec. 12 both, and Dec. 13 a 2:00 p.m. That is seven performances across nine days.
Dec. 19 through Dec. 24 carries the other eleven. Dec. 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23 each run a 2:00 p.m. and a 7:30 p.m. show. Dec. 24 runs one noon curtain.
A Dec. 6 ticket holds eleven later performances to move into. A Dec. 23 evening ticket holds none.
What $39 buys
Prices include all applicable fees, and the page states that prices can change. Seating is reserved. Doors open one hour before the curtain. Every attendee needs a ticket, including a child held on a lap. Keller Auditorium is at 222 SW Clay St, and all ages are admitted.
The $250 premium tier
A premium ticket adds three inclusions to the same eighteen dates: center orchestra seating, a backstage tour, and a goody bag of signed OBT merchandise, one per order. OBT prices the tier at $250 and states that it holds a limited quantity.
The premium tier changes the hour around the performance. The refund rule covers every ticket the same way.
Buy at the OBT box office
The Portland'5 box office runs the building and does not sell Oregon Ballet Theatre tickets. OBT takes orders online and by phone at 503.222.5538. It does not service tickets bought through a reseller, so a third-party purchase carries no exchange right.
Fix the date, then book the room
One address serves all 18 performances, inside the downtown grid. Buy the ticket first, because the date cannot be refunded. Book the room second, because a reservation carries its own change terms.
The noon curtain on Dec. 24 changes the shape of a stay. It ends before dinner, so the night of that performance becomes optional and a party can leave the city the same evening.
Four tickets moved once cost $24, and only while seats remain at the new date. A missed performance costs the full ticket price.
