PacWest Grand Nationals runs February 26 to 28, 2027 at the Oregon Convention Center in Halls D-E. The PacWest event card lists the venue, the dates, a 500-point Varsity Cheer League designation and a Housing Designation of Housing Required. The OCC card marks the booking Registration Required.
Housing Required sends the room block through the Varsity All Star channel. The booking order decides which inventory a program can reach, so that order is where a coach starts.
The three dates for a January or February event
Team Travel Source publishes the 2026-2027 launch table. Its January and February row reads: email sent to coaches with the scheduled booking time on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at 12PM EST; team booking window start on Wednesday, September 16, 2026; window end and public availability on Monday, September 28, 2026 at 11AM CST, which is 12PM EST.
As of 19 October 2026 the team window has closed and the link has been public for three weeks. A program that registered late books in the public pool, beside families and the teams that missed their wave.
Which wave a program gets
Waves follow the registration timestamp. The same page sets the rule: a program must register within 48 hours of registration opening to be assigned a team booking wave. A program that registers after 48 hours waits for the public link.
Team Travel Source sends the coaches block link in the same email as the wave assignment. Each registered team carries one coaches room. Parents can take the link directly, and a program does not have to set up blocks for its families.
What the Lowest Rate Guarantee covers
Team Travel Source compares like for like. The room type, the dates, the included amenities and the payment and cancellation terms must all match before the claim is reviewed.
The guarantee holds until the contracted cut-off date, about one month before the event. Team Travel Source then releases the rooms to the property. The property sells the remaining inventory at rates the guarantee does not cover.
A February 26 arrival puts that cut-off in late January 2027.
Which rates the guarantee refuses
Rates on Expedia, Travelocity, Hotels.com and Priceline are excluded. So are AAA and AARP membership rates, corporate negotiated rates, government rates, hotel employee and friends-and-family rates, and every prepaid or non-refundable rate.
Booking fees paid to Team Travel Source do not count toward the room rate. The match also requires the same cancellation policy, and a prepaid rate never qualifies.
Released rooms return to the pool
Group blocks release unused rooms. Those rooms reappear on the booking site, and a team that finds its property sold out can post a waitlist request.
Released rooms lose the guarantee. Once the rooms return, the property prices them itself, and that price can sit below the block rate with no guarantee attached.
Three shows share one building
The February 2027 calendar lists three bookings across February 26 to 28. In10sity Dance Competition takes the Oregon Ballroom. PacWest takes Halls D-E. Bricks Cascade 2027 takes Halls A-A1 on February 27 and 28.
Three travelling groups draw on the same Lloyd District inventory that weekend.

Ask each property for the rate, the minimum stay and the cancellation deadline in writing.
The garage and the train
The garage holds 800 spaces. Standard entry is $15 for up to 18 hours with no in and out privileges. Event days carry a dynamic entry rate of $15 to $25. Overnight parking is prohibited.
MAX light rail stops 300 times a day at the Convention Center station on NE Holladay at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The Red Line runs to Portland International Airport, eight miles away. The Blue Line runs to Gresham, downtown and Hillsboro. TriMet charges $2.80 for an adult fare and caps a day at $5.60.
Portland Streetcar A Loop arrives at NE MLK and Hoyt every 15 minutes. Bus Line 6 stops at NE MLK and Holladay.
Who can file an exemption
A program with hotel points that fully cover the booking can request an exemption. A military discount or a hotel employee discount supports the same request. Prep and Novice teams within 150 miles of the venue are not required to book overnight.
The order of operations
Check the registration timestamp first, because it sets the wave. Read the property cancellation window before paying. Record the cut-off date with the booking, because the guarantee expires before the event does.
