Ten days, one night outside the codes
The 2027 Biamp Portland Jazz Festival runs Thursday, March 4 to Saturday, March 13, 2027, with more than 25 ticketed performances across the city, presented by PDX Jazz. Eleven hotels sit on the festival's travel page. Five publish a percentage off the room.
Three of those five windows open on March 5 and close on March 14. The festival opens on March 4. That one-day offset decides which night to book first.
What each property publishes
Hotel Vance, 1455 SW Broadway, takes 20 percent off for festival guests from March 5 to 14. The code is S2514, entered under Special Rates, then Corp/Promo Code.
The Hoxton Portland, 15 NW 4th Avenue, takes 20 percent off from March 5 to 14 with promo code SHINDIG.
The Benson Portland, 309 SW Broadway, offers its Music Venue Discounted Rate at 15 to 20 percent off all room types per night, March 5 to 14.
Inn at Northrup Station, 2025 NW Northrup St, takes 15 percent off any room type from March 1 to 20 with promo code PDXJAZZ. Every stay carries an on-site parking pass, continental breakfast and Portland Streetcar tickets.
The Mark Spencer Hotel, 409 SW Eleventh Avenue, advertises 20 percent off a stay during the festival with promo code JAZZ, and attaches no dates to it.
Nine nights at 20 percent, or ten at 15
No property on the page prints a room rate. A guest who arrives March 4 and checks out March 14 holds ten nights. The March 5 to 14 window covers nine of them, March 5 through March 13.
Twenty percent off nine nights equals 1.8 nights of value. Fifteen percent off ten nights equals 1.5. The Benson's 15-to-20 band spans 1.35 to 1.8.
Two answers turn a percentage into a number: the nightly rate before the discount, and whether the offer caps at a room type or a night count. The page publishes neither for any of the five.
Three offers that carry no room discount
The AC Hotel, 888 SW 3rd Avenue, runs specialty cocktails and extended happy hour pricing around performances from March 5 to 14.
The Hyatt Regency at the Oregon Convention Center runs food and beverage specials at Spoke and Fork during the free community performances, labelled Friday, March 6 and Friday, March 13. Both dates fall on a Saturday in 2027.
The Nines, 525 SW Morrison Street, runs a buy-one-get-one drink special at Urban Farmer or Departure with the code phrase "Jazz at the Nines", labelled all day Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8. March 7, 2027 is a Sunday and March 8 is a Monday.
Three partners carry no offer: The Duniway, Hilton Portland Downtown and The Jupiter NEXT.
The clock on the tickets
PDX Jazz opened its member presale on Tuesday, October 13 at 10 a.m. Pacific, and the public on-sale on Friday, October 16 at 10 a.m. Pacific.
The ticket policy reads: "No refunds or exchanges. All programs, artists, dates, times, and venues are subject to change." A room with a cancellation term the guest can accept covers that exposure.
The performances dated so far
Emmylou Harris plays the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall on Friday, March 5, with the Daniel Lanois Trio opening. Lila Downs plays the Roseland Theater on Saturday, March 6, with the Bobby Torres Ensemble opening. Lanois returns with Particle Kid at the Alberta Rose Theatre on Wednesday, March 10, the same night Brian Blade and The Fellowship Band play The Reser. Stanley Clarke and Hiromi play Revolution Hall on Friday, March 12. Larry Carlton closes at the Aladdin Theater on Saturday, March 13.
That first wave dates six performances across five nights. The release says later announcements carry the rest of the 25-plus run, and it names no March 4 performance.
Which night to book first
Settle the opening night first, because the March 5 to 14 codes exclude it. Two shapes cover the whole festival.
Shape one: check in March 5 at Hotel Vance, The Hoxton or The Benson and check out March 14. Nine nights at 15 to 20 percent, with March 4 added outside the code.
Shape two: check in March 4 at the Inn at Northrup Station and check out March 14. Ten nights at 15 percent, opening night included, with parking and Streetcar tickets inside the stay.
Shape two buys one more night at the shallower discount. Shape one discounts nine nights deeper. The rack rate at each property settles the difference.
How to hold the rate
Every code is property-specific. The page prints no expiry and no room cap. Book direct, enter the code exactly, and get three terms in writing: the nightly rate before and after the discount, the cancellation deadline and penalty, and whether the discount applies to every night of the stay.
The Northrup Station stay includes Streetcar tickets. The property sits on the Streetcar line, which reaches the downtown venues without a car.
Four checks before booking
Confirm the 2027 dates on pdxjazz.org/lineup. Confirm the offer window with the property before booking. Confirm the performance date and time, because the policy allows no exchange. Then hold the room.
Groups booking ten or more rooms a night can send one request through hotelhuddle. The platform states quotes from 50-plus hotels, replies within 24 to 72 hours, and no markup on the rate paid to the hotel directly.
