The Build, Remodel & Landscape Show opens Hall A at the Oregon Convention Center at noon on Friday, 8 January 2027 and closes at 5 p.m. on Sunday, 10 January. Public hours are Friday 12 to 6, Saturday 10 to 6 and Sunday 11 to 5. A Thursday, 7 January arrival puts an exhibitor at the dock on the assigned hour.

L&L Exhibition runs the show and answers on 800-374-6463. The venue is at 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Portland, OR 97232.

Thursday buys the load-in

Freight reaches the building through the docks on NE First Avenue. The venue runs 18 loading bays with load levelers, three drive-in ramps and 8,000 square feet of indoor dock space. Door capacities print at 20 feet high by 18 feet wide. The show manager assigns the load-in hour and the ramp.

An exhibitor in a room on Thursday, 7 January starts that hour at the dock. The same exhibitor is inside the hall before the noon public open.

The dock route runs south on NE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, right onto NE Lloyd Blvd for 0.1 miles, then first right onto NE First Avenue. The venue asks drivers to move the vehicle after unloading.

Sunday closes at 5 p.m.

Sunday runs two hours shorter than Saturday. Move-out starts after the 5 p.m. close, and the venue publishes no move-out window. Get that window and the assigned ramp from the show manager in writing before the trip is booked.

A Sunday checkout puts the exhibitor out of the room in the morning and at the dock in the evening. Book the Sunday night and load out on Monday. Or hold the Saturday night and ask for a checkout late enough to cover the close and the dock.

Two halls fill the same weekend

The venue calendar puts the Aloha Portland Showdown in Halls B-C on Saturday, 9 January and Sunday, 10 January. Two events share the weekend, and both audiences want the Saturday night. Food Northwest takes Hall A on 13 and 14 January, three days after this show closes.

Hold Saturday first in a multi-night booking. Friday is the night to ask a property for a concession on.

Admission at the door

Admission is $5 for adults, and children under 18 enter free. An email signup on the same page offers free admission and states a $10 value. Ask the show what a group pays at the door before you quote it to a client.

A local visitor makes a day trip. The rooms belong to exhibitors and to visitors who drive in from outside the metro.

The garage day against the MAX

The garage charges $15 for up to 18 hours with no in-and-out privileges. Event days carry a dynamic rate of $15 to $25 at entry. The garage opens at 6 a.m., holds 800 spaces, posts 7 feet of clearance on P1 and 9 feet on P2, and prohibits overnight parking. Spaces run first come, first served, and the booths take cards only.

One entry per car per day sets an exhibitor's week. A car that enters at 11 a.m. leaves the garage once. A trip between the hall, a supplier and the property buys a second entry at the event rate.

MAX light rail stops 300 times a day near the front door. The Red Line reaches Portland International Airport, which the venue puts eight miles away. The Streetcar A Loop arrives at NE MLK and Hoyt every 15 minutes, and bus line 6 stops at NE MLK and Holladay. The TriMet adult fare is $2.80 for 2½ hours, and a rider pays no more than $5.60 in a day.

A person with a bag compares $5.60 against a $15 garage entry. A vehicle carrying booth materials stays with the garage.
