One night, and it starts on Sunday

The 24th annual Oregon Business Plan Leadership Summit runs Monday December 7, 2026 in the Portland Ballroom at the Oregon Convention Center. On-site registration opens at 7:30 a.m. Book Sunday December 6 and check out Monday December 7. The programme closes at 6:00 p.m. with the reception.

The published clock reads in four steps. Registration opens at 7:30 a.m. in the Portland Ballroom Lobby. The plenary session starts at 8:30 a.m. in the Portland Ballroom. Breakout sessions run 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the D and E meeting rooms. The summit concludes at 4:00 p.m., and the reception runs 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the D and E meeting room foyer.

What the Sunday night removes

Registration at 7:30 a.m. sets the morning. A Monday arrival means a 5:00 a.m. airport run or a pre-dawn drive from outside the district, and the first plenary starts an hour after the desk opens. The Sunday night moves that morning into the building: wake up, cross a lobby, register.

The convention center calendar lists the American Northwest cheer and dance national championship in Hall D on December 5 and 6. Sunday is that event's second day and the summit's arrival evening, so Portland rooms carry both audiences that night.

Checkout at 11 a.m. is not departure at 6 p.m.

A Monday checkout covers the programme for the purposes of the room. It does not keep the room through the reception, because the checkout hour falls in the late morning, hours before the 4:00 p.m. close.

Ask the property for a later checkout, or ask it to hold the bags, and get the answer in writing at booking. The venue rents short-term lockers as a fallback: LocketGo lockers take a mobile reservation and a credit card, and there are three locations inside the building.

The request belongs in the reservation notes at booking. A 6:00 p.m. bag pickup turns a morning checkout into a full day.

Register online before noon on December 4

Online registration closes at 12:00 p.m. on Friday December 4, 2026. On-site registration opens at 7:30 a.m. on Monday December 7. The rates:

General audience — $375 per person online by the deadline, $450 on site.

Public sector and nonprofit — $275 per person online by the deadline, $450 on site. The category covers local city and county elected officials.

Students — $75 per person, online or on site, full-time with valid ID.

Statewide elected officials — one complimentary admission per office, covering the Governor, state senators and representatives, the Treasurer, Secretary of State, Labor Commissioner, Attorney General, US senators and members of Congress.

Press and media — complimentary. Volunteers — complimentary admission on summit day, outside their shift.

Paying at the door costs $75 more on general registration and $175 more on the public sector rate. Payments appear on a statement as FORGOOD OBC LEADSUMMIT.

A substitute may attend in your place. Refunds are issued only if the event is cancelled, and a cancelled event brings a full refund. A livestream is available for anyone who cannot travel.

The hotel partner, and the terms nobody publishes

The organiser's location page names the Hyatt Regency as its hotel partner and links a group-booking address on the property's own site under the code G-OBCS. The same page gives the venue as the Portland Ballroom, 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Portland, Oregon 97232.

The summit pages publish no nightly rate, no block size and no reservation cut-off. The 2026 summit page, the registration platform's home page, its ticket page and its location page carry none of those numbers. The property holds them.

Four questions do the work: the nightly rate on the group code, the date the block closes, the cancellation deadline and any fee attached to it, and whether the block covers Sunday December 6 alone or both Sunday and Monday.

Parking on a 7:30 a.m. clock

The convention center garage opens at 6:00 a.m., holds 800 spaces and prohibits overnight parking. A guest who sleeps Sunday night walks to registration and never touches the garage on Monday morning.

A guest who drives in on Monday morning has 90 minutes between the garage opening and the registration desk, shared with every other arrival. Clearance is 7 feet on P1 and 9 feet on P2. Parking is $15 for up to 18 hours with no in-and-out privileges, a dynamic $15 to $25 applies at entry on event days, and the booths take cards and touchless payment. Availability is first come, first served and not guaranteed.

MAX light rail stops 300 times a day near the front door. The Portland Streetcar's A Loop reaches NE Martin Luther King and Hoyt every 15 minutes. Bus line 6 serves NE Martin Luther King and Holladay. The airport is eight miles out. 566 metered spaces sit within three blocks.

One venue detail worth knowing

The building is cashless, down to the parking booths. A reverse ATM in the MLK Lobby exchanges cash for a Visa card once, with no fee.

Book in this order

Register online before noon on December 4. Book Sunday December 6, on the group code or a direct rate. Put the checkout hour and the bag hold in writing. Leave Monday night out of the reservation. Then the 7:30 a.m. desk sits across a lobby.
