Hotel links follow registration
The Sports Field Management Association releases its 2027 conference hotel links after a delegate completes registration. Its conference travel page reads: “For 2027, hotel links will again only be provided after you complete your conference registration.”
The same page carries the block range: “SFMA has room blocks at several hotels in Tampa ranging from $249/night to $339/night plus taxes and fees.” Only registered attendees reach the block. Rooms go first come, first served.
Book registration first. Take the hotel link from the confirmation email.
Registration prices and windows
A member full conference pass runs $550.00 on early bird, $625.00 on general and $775.00 onsite. Non-member rates run $725.00, $800.00 and $950.00. Early bird closes 16 December 2026. General registration runs 17 December 2026 to 22 January 2027. Onsite registration runs 23 January to 4 February 2027.
A one-day package costs $325.00 for Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. A one-day package with trade-show access costs $425.00, or $450.00 onsite. Trade-show-only admission costs $125.00 at every tier. Exhibitor booth personnel pay $100.00. A spouse or guest pays $325.00 for the full conference and $75.00 for the trade show.
One date holds the price and the refund
The cancellation policy reads: “Cancellations must be in writing and received by December 15th. All cancelations are subject to a $50 processing fee. NO refunds will be issued after December 15.” Refunds issue within 30 days after the conference.
Registration on or before 15 December 2026 keeps the early-bird rate and a refund less $50. Registration on 16 December 2026 keeps the early-bird rate and carries no refund.
Send the written cancellation before 15 December.
Two published spans for one conference
SFMA dates the conference 1-4 February 2027. The City of Tampa event listing for the same booking carries “Wed, Feb 3 2027, 7am - Thu, Feb 4 2027, 11:59pm” at the Tampa Convention Center, 333 S Franklin St.
The program explains the gap. Monday 1 February holds the SFMA Live Learning outdoor demonstrations at the University of South Florida in the afternoon, and transport runs between the convention center and the campus. Indoor demonstrations run on the exhibit floor during trade-show hours on 3 and 4 February. Day packages sell for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
The City listing covers the building’s two trade-show days. The association’s span covers the four days a full-conference delegate attends.
Counting the nights
A full-conference delegate arrives Sunday 31 January 2027 and checks out Thursday 4 February. That is four nights.
A trade-show delegate arrives Tuesday 2 February and checks out Thursday 4 February. That is two nights. The City listing carries an 11:59 p.m. close on Thursday 4 February, so a delegate who stays to the end adds the Thursday night for three.
Ask SFMA for the closing hour before you hold that final night.
Getting in from the airport
Tampa International sits 6 to 8 miles from downtown, about 16 minutes by road. St. Pete-Clearwater International sits about 15 miles away across the bay.
SFMA publishes a rideshare range of $25 to $40 from Tampa International to downtown, at 10 to 30 minutes depending on traffic and demand. A $5.00 service fee is added to the fare. Budget $30 to $45 per car for the inbound run.
Moving around without a car
The TECO Line Streetcar runs free and links downtown, the Channel District and Ybor City. It runs every 15 minutes to 11 stations.
DASH is a $2 per person microtransit service with six electric vehicles, seven days a week. The Pirate Water Taxi stops along the downtown riverfront, including the Convention Center. HART buses serve downtown and the surrounding areas.
A delegate who books outside the walkable core holds the streetcar as the downtown link. Ask the property for the nearest station and the last service time on the nights you need it.
The block with no property list
SFMA publishes the rate range and the order of release. It publishes no property names, no nightly rate per hotel and no reservation cut-off date.
Take the room through the link in your registration confirmation. Ask that confirmation for four items: the properties in the block, the nightly rate for your nights, the cancellation deadline and its fee, and the parking charge.
A Florida request sits outside the platform
hotelhuddle publishes a seller-of-travel notice, last updated 21 October 2026. The platform cannot process hotel booking requests from residents of or for travel to Florida, Hawaii, Iowa or Washington.
A Tampa block falls inside that restriction. The booking route runs direct with the property, so put the four questions in writing to the hotel named in your confirmation.
