The India Festival runs Oct. 31, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. in the Expo Hall and the Entertainment Hall at the Florida State Fairgrounds, 4800 U.S. Hwy. 301 N, Tampa. The organiser calls it Florida’s largest celebration of Indian culture, with 85+ dance teams and 200+ exhibitors across fashion, jewelry, art, crafts and food.
Saturday Is the Night
Book Saturday Oct. 31 with a Sunday Nov. 1 checkout. The Saturday night holds the room through the 10 p.m. close. The 10 p.m. close rules out a late checkout as a way to cover the day.
The arrival needs a written time. Check-in windows sit in the afternoon at the properties this piece names, so a 9 a.m. opening needs an early check-in confirmed before you pay. A Friday Oct. 30 arrival buys that without asking, at the price of a second night.
The Property Across the Street
The venue’s partner roster puts Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tampa Fairgrounds Casino at 0.2 miles and describes it as directly across the street from the Fairgrounds. The driving directions corroborate it, because the U.S. 301 route turns left at the Fairgrounds entrance across from the Holiday Inn Express and Winghouse Restaurant. The property card lists a pool, a fitness center, a business center and free wireless internet. The venue publishes no nightly rate for any partner, so the rate and the check-in time both come from the property.
The 1.5-Mile Option With Free Parking
Wyndham Garden Tampa Fairgrounds/Casino opened in 2025 and sits 1.5 miles out. The card lists free Wi-Fi and parking, an outdoor heated pool, a 24/7 fitness center, and a pet-friendly, non-smoking policy. Its own description also calls the hotel one mile from the Fairgrounds, which contradicts the distance printed on the same card. Plan on 1.5 miles and a car, and put the parking charge in writing before booking.
Admission and Parking: Two Pages, Two Sets of Numbers
The event page and the ticket checkout disagree. The event page’s Cost block reads $10 online and $15 at the gate for admission, and $10 online and $12 onsite for parking. The checkout sells admission at $11.50 in advance against $15.00 at the gate, a $3.50 saving, and lists India Fest Guest Parking for Oct. 31 at $15.00 per entry. The checkout is the page that takes the money, so budget $11.50 and $15.00 and confirm the cart total before paying.
The parking terms are strict. Each ticket is good for one parking entry, parking does not include event entry, and the sale is final: not refundable, not transferable, no rainchecks. A mid-afternoon trip back to the hotel buys a second entry at the same price.
What Free Parking Is Worth
At the $15.00 catalogue price, the Wyndham’s free parking covers the lot for the day and the walkable property removes the lot altogether. Book the 0.2-mile property first, then the 1.5-mile one. A car that never leaves costs nothing, and the free lot still puts you in the queue at Gate 1. The $3.50 advance saving on admission applies wherever you sleep.
Camping on the Grounds
The Fairgrounds sells event camping for all Fairgrounds and area events except the annual Florida State Fair. Sites are pet-friendly with complete electric capabilities, and reservations require payment online 48 hours in advance. For a single night inside the gate it is the closest bed on the property, and the 48-hour rule decides whether it is still available.
Gate 1 on U.S. 301
Both halls sit at the U.S. Hwy. 301 entrance, Gate 1. From Tampa or St. Pete via I-275 to I-4 eastbound, take Exit 45B, then Exit #7 for U.S. 301 South, stay in the right lane for a quarter mile and turn right into the entrance. From Sarasota on I-75 northbound, take Exit #260, turn right at the light at U.S. 301, then left at the entrance across from the Holiday Inn Express and Winghouse Restaurant. From Ocala on I-75 southbound, Exit #260, west 2.5 miles past the light at U.S. 301, then right into the entrance. The main line is (813) 621-7821.
What to Ask the Property
Put four items in the request: the rate for the night of Oct. 31, the earliest confirmed check-in time, the cancellation deadline in writing, and the walk from the door to Gate 1. The Expo Hall runs 87,000+ square feet under 45-foot ceilings and joins the Entertainment Hall for 138,000 square feet.
A dance team or a vendor party travelling together sends that request to the property’s own sales desk. The hotelhuddle seller-of-travel page, last updated 21 October 2026, lists Florida among the four states where the platform cannot process a booking request, and it covers grouprooms.org, hotelhaggle.org, hotelslots.org, bookmyteam.org and partners.hotelhuddle.com on the same page. Questions on the restriction go to compliance@hotelhuddle.com.
