The clock that sets the arrival night

The Labor Law & Labor Arbitration Conference runs at the Tampa Convention Center from 7 a.m. Wednesday 27 January 2027 to 5 p.m. Thursday 28 January 2027. The venue address is 333 S Franklin St, Tampa, FL 33602.

A 7 a.m. Wednesday start rules out a Wednesday arrival. Book Tuesday 26 January as the first night and Wednesday 27 January as the second. Check out Thursday 28 January. That is two nights for the full conference.

The organizer is the Labor Arbitration Institute, housed at the Scheinman Institute on Conflict Resolution at Cornell University. Its conference list carries "JAN 27-28 Tampa" with a notify-me button. No 2027 Tampa fee has been published.

What the garage charges

The Tampa Convention Center Parking Garage stands at 141 E Brorein Street. It holds 454 total spaces, 11 of them ADA, and carries two electric vehicle charging stations. Clearance is 6 ft 6 in.

The City publishes an event rate of $5.00 to $50.00 and a non-event rate of $3 per hour with an $18 daily maximum. The event rate moves with the show, so no page quotes a fixed figure for 27 January.

Two limits matter to an overnight delegate. The City states there is no long-term parking at the convention center garage. The venue parking page states that pre-pay and reserved parking are not available.

Confirm the posted event rate for 27 January with the City before you commit to a figure.

The two garages that hold a car overnight

Pam Iorio Garage at 301 Channelside Drive holds 790 spaces, 41 of them ADA, with two electric vehicle charging stations. Fort Brooke Garage at 107 N Franklin Street holds 556 hourly spaces and clears 6 ft 8 in. Both carry the same event rate of $5.00 to $50.00 and the same $3 hourly non-event rate with an $18 daily maximum.

Both publish visitor hourly parking from Monday to Sunday, overnight until 6:00 a.m. A delegate who drives and stays takes one of these two, or takes a hotel with its own garage.

The hotel next door

Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa Downtown Convention Center stands at 513 S. Florida Ave. The City lists it as connected to the Convention Center by skybridge. The property phone number is (813) 769-8300.

That connection keeps the walk between the room and the hall indoors on both conference days. It also keeps the car in one place for anyone who parks at the property.

Ask the property two questions in writing: whether the skybridge is open at the hour you plan to cross, and the parking charge per night.

The short walkable list

The City publishes a distance for every property near the building. Tampa Marriott Water Street at 700 S. Florida Ave sits 0.2 miles away. JW Marriott Tampa Water Street at 505 Water Street sits 0.2 miles away. The Westin Tampa Waterside at 725 S. Harbour Island Blvd sits 0.3 miles away.

The Tampa EDITION at 500 Channelside Drive, Hilton Tampa Downtown at 211 N. Tampa Street, Hyatt Place/Hyatt House at 325 N. Florida Ave and ROOST Tampa at 1050 Water Street each sit 0.5 miles away. ALOFT Tampa Downtown at 100 W. Kennedy Blvd sits 0.6 miles away. Le Méridien Tampa at 601 N Florida Ave sits 0.7 miles away. Hotel Tampa Riverwalk at 200 N. Ashley Drive sits 0.8 miles away.

The City FAQ names Tampa Marriott Water Street, JW Marriott and Embassy Suites as the properties located directly across the street.

The free ride along the waterfront

The TECO Line Streetcar runs free. It stops at #10 Dick Greco Plaza, across from the convention center front drive and The Sail Plaza, and it connects downtown, Sparkman Wharf and Ybor City. A delegate who books 0.5 miles out holds the streetcar as the evening walk back.

What the organizer has published

Registration for the Tampa 2027 date has not opened. The organizer's most recent Tampa page covers the February 2026 edition. It carried an early rate of $975.00 on or before 15 October 2025 and a regular rate of $1,150.00 after that date. Both belong to the 2026 cycle.

The cancellation ladder on the organizer's FAQ page holds across cities. A cancellation made at least two weeks before the conference receives a full refund. A cancellation inside 14 days carries a $50 late fee. Substitutions are accepted at any time. Credit toward a future conference must be requested before the conference date and expires after 24 months.

The organizer's own facility note reads: "This is high season, so we recommend that you make your airline and hotel reservations as early as possible."

The 2026 Tampa page also states the program is approved for 13.0 CLE credits in most cases, 13.0 SHRM professional development credits and 13 HRCI recertification credit hours. Credit counts vary by state and by program.

One request, then compare

hotelhuddle takes a group request free and sends it to 50+ hotels in the destination. Hotels return their group rates, terms and perks, and many reply within 24 to 72 hours. No markup applies, and the group pays the hotel directly.

For this booking, ask each property for four items in writing: the nightly rate for the nights of 26 and 27 January 2027, the parking charge and clearance, the skybridge or covered-walk status, and the cancellation deadline with its fee.
