The commission is the reason to book direct. Online travel agencies take 15 to 25 percent of room revenue. Booking.com averages about 15 percent and Expedia 18 to 22 percent before paid placement (RevPARGenius, May 2026). A direct booking costs a hotel roughly 4.5 percent all in. That commission comes out of the hotel's revenue, so the guest's lever is the rate and the add-on fees a property quotes on its own channel.

7. CoCo Key Hotel & Water Park - 7400 International Drive, Orlando 32819. Resort fee: $45 plus tax per day, waived at seven nights or more, with up to four water park tickets.
8. The Hilton Orlando - 6001 Destination Parkway, Orlando 32819. Resort fee: $47 per room, per night, plus tax, with I-Ride Trolley passes included.
9. Margaritaville Resort Orlando - 8000 Fins Up Circle, Kissimmee 34747. Resort fee: $48 per room, per night, plus tax. The paid fee includes Island H2O Water Park admission for the 2026 season.
10. Waldorf Astoria Orlando - 14200 Bonnet Creek Resort Lane, Orlando 32821. Resort fee: $50 per room, per night, plus tax, the highest here.
What the fee costs over a five-night stay
Fee only, before tax, for five nights: Waldorf Astoria $250, Margaritaville $240, The Hilton Orlando $235, CoCo Key $225, Wyndham Grand Bonnet Creek $210 and FantasyWorld $149.95. The four Rosen properties add $0, so $149.95 to $250 separates the lowest and highest entry over the same five nights.
Length of stay changes one entry: CoCo Key waives the fee at seven nights or more.
Where the fee-free rooms sit
Three Rosen hotels run International Drive in a line: Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando at 9000, Rosen Plaza at 9700 and Rosen Centre at 9840. Rosen Shingle Creek sits at 9939 Universal Blvd, on the convention-center side of the corridor. Bonnet Creek holds the two highest fees, inside the Walt Disney World gateway at 14651 Chelonia Parkway and 14200 Bonnet Creek Resort Lane. FantasyWorld and Margaritaville serve the theme-park corridor from Osceola County, and The Hilton Orlando covers the SeaWorld and Universal side.
When the rate moves more than the fee
The month of stay moves the rate more than the booking lead time. Engine observed rates in searches made 10 to 180 days before check-in and found a 33 percent spread between the cheapest and priciest month: $101 in August and September against $150 in February, on a $124 city average.

What the tax adds
Every fee above is quoted before tax. Orange County’s tourist development tax is 6 percent of the lodging bill, and it raised $384.6 million in fiscal 2025, the highest total of any Florida county.
