The Gas Machinery Conference runs October 4 to 7, 2026 at the Indiana Convention Center, with forecast attendance of 900. The Gas Machinery Research Council builds the program for design engineers, facility engineers and technicians. Sessions cover the operation, maintenance and testing of gas compression machinery, with presentations on recent GMRC research.

The venue states that closing and opening times for the facility and its skywalks are event-dependent, with a rule of thumb of a lockdown at approximately 11:00 p.m. and a reopening at approximately 6:00 a.m. An engineer leaving the exhibit floor late walks to the room under cover when the property sits on the connected system.

The October block takes the midweek rooms
October stacks up on the venue calendar. The ISBA/IAPSS Annual Conference runs October 5 to 6, across the conference's Monday and Tuesday nights. The Emerging Leaders' Summit holds October 7, the morning the Gas Machinery Conference ends. The following days bring the FullScale Symposium and the American Dental Association Scientific Sessions across October 8 to 10, the ABC Health & Fitness Expo on October 10, and the Metal Treating Institute's Furnaces North America from October 12 to 15.
Hold the nights of October 4, 5 and 6 as one reservation, and hold them early. A Sunday arrival and a Wednesday departure sit inside a week that four other shows also want. Ask the hotel to state its cancellation deadline in writing, and to state the nightly difference between its flexible rate and its non-refundable rate. Getting in, parking and dinner
Indianapolis International Airport sits 15 minutes from downtown by the convention center's own measure. The airport's Ground Transportation Center, on the first floor of the Terminal Garage, connects to bus service, car rental, taxi, Uber and Lyft, hotel courtesy vehicles and limousines, with curbside taxi outside Baggage Claim. IndyGo operates the city bus network and answers route questions at (317) 635-3344. Open Door is IndyGo's ADA paratransit service. For a taxi, the venue recommends the Maryland Street canopy and notes that access there can be restricted during certain events.
Denison Parking operates every Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium lot. Downtown Indianapolis holds more than 70,000 parking spaces. Reserve and pre-pay at an ICC or Lucas Oil Stadium lot, or check rates and hours on the Downtown Indy Alliance interactive map. Accessible parking sits in surrounding lots and garages on a first-come, first-served basis, and metered accessible spaces surround the facility.
Downtown keeps 200 restaurants within walking distance of the convention center.
