The ISBA/IAPSS Annual Conference returns to the Indiana Convention Center on October 5 and 6, 2026 for its 77th year. The convention center lists forecast attendance at 1,000 across the two days at 100 South Capitol Ave. Read the schedule before you pick the hotel.
Registration opens Sunday, October 4, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday starts with registration at 7:30 a.m. and the first general session at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday closes with clinic sessions that end at 12:15 p.m.
What the two days look like
Monday runs registration at 7:30 a.m., the Monday General Session from 8:45 to 10:45 a.m., clinic sessions at 11:00 a.m., lunch from noon to 2:00 p.m., clinics from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. and a final clinic block from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday opens with a general session from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. and closes with clinic sessions at 10:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m., ending at 12:15 p.m.
Conference pricing is $375 per person. ISBA and IAPSS discount a full five-member board with its superintendent by $90 with the code 5AND1TEAM, and a full seven-member board with its superintendent by $120 with the code 7AND1TEAM. The Day 1 keynote is Gian Paul Gonzalez, the motivational speaker known for the New York Giants’ “All In” Super Bowl run and the founder of the nonprofit Hope & Future. The Day 2 keynote is Jim Mahoney, a former superintendent and the first executive director of Battelle for Kids.
Book the Sunday night first
The Gas Machinery Conference opens at the Indiana Convention Center on Sunday, October 4 and runs through October 7, with a published forecast attendance of 900. That is the same Sunday the ISBA/IAPSS registration desk opens, so two attendee groups want the same night in the same district.
Downtown Indianapolis holds 7,100 hotel rooms. The convention center states that more than half of them sit within blocks of the ICC and Lucas Oil Stadium. Of that inventory, 4,700 rooms connect to the building by skywalk.
The ISBA Fall Conference page and the IAPSS event listing carry no host hotel and no room block. Treat the Sunday night as a race for the rooms closest to the building.

JW Marriott Indianapolis — 10 South West Street, 1,005 rooms, and the anchor of Marriott IndyPlace, a collection of five interconnected Marriott hotels holding 2,276 rooms. The Westin Indianapolis — 241 West Washington Street, 575 rooms. Hyatt Regency Indianapolis — 1 S Capitol Ave, 499 rooms, with direct connections to the convention center and Circle Centre mall. Embassy Suites by Hilton Indianapolis-Downtown — 110 West Washington Street, 360 rooms. Crowne Plaza Hotel Indianapolis Downtown By IHG — 123 West Louisiana Street, 273 rooms, including 26 Pullman train-car sleepers on the original tracks. Conrad Indianapolis — 50 West Washington Street, 247 rooms. Le Méridien Indianapolis — 123 South Illinois Street, 100 rooms. Courtyard Indianapolis Downtown and SpringHill Suites Indianapolis Downtown — both at 601 West Washington Street, sharing 621 rooms with the Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Indianapolis Downtown at 501 W Washington Street.
Signia Hilton Indianapolis adds 803 rooms and 235,000 square feet of meeting space to the package. Visit Indy says the hotel is expected to open in 2026. The convention center’s news item of April 21, 2026 says reservations are open for February 2027. Confirm the opening date before you build a plan on those rooms.
If you are driving in
Denison Parking operates every Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium lot, reachable at (317) 916-1760. Downtown Indianapolis holds more than 70,000 parking spaces. Reserve and pre-pay online through the convention center or Lucas Oil Stadium, and check pricing and hours on the Downtown Indy Alliance interactive downtown map.
Accessible parking sits in the surrounding lots and garages on a first-come, first-served basis, with van-access spaces marked and metered on-street accessible spaces around the facility.
A drive-in attendee pays for the room and the garage. Run both numbers together before you pick a hotel with a lower nightly rate and a lot that erases the difference.
Rate structures worth comparing
Three structures cover most of what you will be offered. A flexible rate carries the latest cancellation deadline. A non-refundable rate trades that deadline for a lower nightly figure. A group block carries a room count, a cutoff date and attrition terms that charge for rooms left unclaimed.
Ask each property to quote the nightly difference between its flexible and non-refundable rates for your dates.
Tuesday checkout, and the rest of the week
The Tuesday close is 12:15 p.m., so a standard noon checkout costs you the final clinic block. Ask for a late checkout when you book and put the request in writing. Skywalk hours are event-dependent, with a rule of thumb of lockdown around 11:00 p.m. and reopening around 6:00 a.m.
Tuesday and Wednesday nights are the soft part of this window. The convention center calendar shows the next shows, the FullScale Symposium and the American Dental Association Scientific Sessions, opening October 8.
