Work Truck Week 2027 runs March 9-12, 2027 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. NTEA, which produces the event, has opened a notification list for the moment registration and housing go live this fall. The same page carries the line that sets a booking plan: NTEA members receive discounted registration fees.
Registration And Housing Open In The Same Fall Window
That window is short, and the prior cycle shows how short. Registration and housing for Work Truck Week 2026 opened on October 21, 2025, and NTEA put the early-bird registration deadline at February 13, 2026. Open to early-bird close was a little under four months, and the deadline landed about a month before the show. Members who renew or join before the window opens register at the member rate on day one.
What The 2027 Program Holds
NTEA publishes the shape of the week in its Aug. 11, 2026 release. March 9, the Tuesday, is Future Truck Summit. The educational program runs March 9-11, Work Truck Week Ride & Drive runs March 10-11, and The Work Truck Show exhibit hall is open March 10-12. March 12 is a Friday.
Future Truck Summit replaces Green Truck Summit and debuts March 9 at the JW Marriott Indianapolis, the day before the exhibit hall opens. NTEA is building the curriculum with NAFA Fleet Management Association, and the day keeps the established format: a keynote address and general sessions in the morning, then lunch and a choice of afternoon breakouts. The 2026 edition drew a verified 15,646 industry professionals from 29 countries and all 50 U.S. states across 547 exhibiting companies, and NTEA describes the 2027 show floor as 500-plus exhibitors.
The NTEA Annual Meeting falls on Thursday, March 11. Mountaineer Ed Viesturs delivers the keynote after breakfast and association business. Tickets go on sale when registration opens this fall.
Hold The Tuesday-To-Friday Stay First
A Tuesday check-in on March 9 and a Friday checkout on March 12 is three nights: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. That single hold covers Future Truck Summit on arrival day, both full exhibit-hall days on Wednesday and Thursday, and the Ride & Drive window, and it leaves you in the city on the final morning of the show.
NTEA has not published the 2027 session clock times. Plan a Friday checkout as a travel day, with the last exhibit morning walked before you leave.
Then Test Sunday-To-Wednesday Against The Summit Start
A Sunday check-in on March 7 and a Wednesday checkout on March 10 is also three nights: Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. It buys a full Monday on the ground ahead of the Tuesday Summit opening and puts you at the Summit itself, and it ends before the exhibit hall opens.
Both plans are three nights, so the decision is which three nights you hold. Take the Sunday hold when a Monday-side meeting or a cheaper Monday flight is the reason to be in Indianapolis a day early, and accept that the show floor is not part of that stay. If the Monday meeting firms up later, price the fourth night at the same time you price the third.
Where The Rooms Are
The Indiana Convention Center counts 7,100 hotel rooms downtown, with more than half of them within blocks of the Center and Lucas Oil Stadium, and 4,700 rooms connected to the Convention Center by skywalk. Visit Indy publishes its own connected count of 12 hotels and 5,200 rooms, plus a downtown pipeline that takes rooms within walking distance past 10,000. The two counts describe the same district, so confirm the connected figure property by property.
The JW Marriott Indianapolis, where Future Truck Summit runs, is the anchor of Marriott IndyPlace, five interconnected Marriott brand hotels holding 2,276 rooms. Visit Indy lists the property at 1,005 sleeping rooms, and the hotelHuddle directory carries its address at 10 South West Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204, with a four-star rating. A room there puts the Tuesday Summit, the Center and the skywalk network inside one walk.
The Skywalk Clock Sets The Evening
The Convention Center states that the closing and opening of the facility and the skywalks is event-dependent, with a rule of thumb of lockdown around 11 p.m. and reopening around 6 a.m. A connected room buys weather-free walking inside those hours. A late dinner off-site needs a walking plan that does not depend on the skywalk.
What No Source Publishes Yet
NTEA has published no 2027 room block, no nightly rate and no cancellation deadline. Registration and housing open this fall, so the booking terms do not exist to quote today. Ask any property you shortlist to state the cancellation deadline and the difference between its flexible and non-refundable nightly rate in writing before you commit a night you cannot move. When the organizer's housing channel opens, the three points to confirm are the cut-off date, the deposit and the cancellation ladder.
Dates Already Set Through 2030
NTEA has published its future Work Truck Week dates, all at the Indiana Convention Center: March 7-10, 2028, March 6-9, 2029 and March 5-8, 2030. Work Truck Week runs each March and marks more than 25 years in Indianapolis.
