Booking Fleet Week around one discount and a parking deadline

San Francisco Fleet Week runs nine days, from 4 to 12 October 2026. The organiser’s own calendar puts the air show, the free ship tours and the waterfront crowds on the same stretch of the north shore.

The stay window runs nine days

The San Francisco Fleet Week Association header reads “4-12 October, 2026”, and its events record carries the same span. Ship tours open on Wednesday 7 October and close on Monday 12 October. The air show runs the last three days, 9, 10 and 11 October. A Saturday 10 October arrival covers the final air show day, the Fleet Fest at Fisherman’s Wharf and the Sunday 11 October air show inside one stay.

Two properties sit on the association’s Where to Stay page. The Axiom Hotel, at 28 Cyril Magnin Street in the 94102 ZIP, is the Union Square address the page leads with. Hotel Caza, at 1300 Columbus Avenue in the 94133 ZIP, sits by Fisherman’s Wharf, North Beach and the Embarcadero. Our directory lists both at four stars.

The air show sets the parking deadline

The air show runs Friday 9, Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October, from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. at Marina Green. General admission is free. The U.S. Navy Blue Angels headline, and the United 777 is the only commercial airliner in the country performing a fully choreographed demonstration over the Bay. The setting is the water between the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz.

The association asks drivers to settle parking before the weekend. Its parking page reads “Reserve your parking in advance and get there on time, stress-free!” and names SpotHero as the channel. The reservation route is the San Francisco Fleet Week SpotHero Parking Page that the page links. Reserve the air show days first, because Marina Green and the waterfront fill from noon.

Ship tours are free and first come, first served

All ship tours are free of charge, and every line runs first come, first served. Five hulls are listed for the 2026 visit: USS Ashland (LSD 48), USS Cape St. George (CG 71), USCGC Munro (WMSL 755), USCGC Benjamin Bottoms (WPC-1132) and USCGC George Cobb (WLM 564).

The published schedule runs Wednesday 7 October, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Pier 27; Thursday 8 October, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Piers 27 and 35; Saturday 10 October, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at both piers; Sunday 11 October, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at both piers; and Monday 12 October, 9:00 a.m. to noon at Pier 35. No tour window is published for Friday 9 October. That is the day the Parade of Ships runs the waterfront from 11:00 a.m. to noon.

What the Axiom discount covers

The association writes that its friends at the Axiom Hotel “are offering a special discount for Fleet Week attendees”, under the line “Book your Fleet Week stay and save!” The room link is the hotel’s own booking engine and carries the promotional code GOV. That is the only discount any property on the page states.

The page publishes no nightly rate, no minimum stay and no cancellation deadline for the offer. Ask the hotel to state the discount as a percentage or a nightly figure in writing, to name the nights it applies to, and to put the cancellation deadline in the confirmation.

The rest of the published calendar

Fleet Fest at Fisherman’s Wharf runs Saturday 10 October from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the SkyStar Wheel and at the PG&E Service and Safety Expo. Sunday’s Fleet Fest window is 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Parade of Ships is Friday 9 October, 11:00 a.m. to noon, along the waterfront.

The neighbourhood concert series is free and spread across the city, at Salesforce Park, Ghirardelli Square, Pier 39, Union Square, Grace Cathedral and Glen Park Library, among other venues. Each listing carries a start time and a map link.

What to carry to the pier

Every visitor passes screening and every bag is searched. Anyone over 18 needs a valid government-issued ID, and anyone 17 or under must be with an adult. Bags may be no larger than 12 by 6 by 12, and a clutch or purse may be no larger than 5 by 7. There is no holding area for personal items, so backpacks, strollers, bicycles and scooters stay behind. Open-toe shoes and high heels are not permitted, because the tour climbs steep ladders and crosses uneven deck surfaces. An alternative pier-side experience exists for visitors who cannot manage the ladders.

How to hold the block

Group rates start at ten rooms a night at most hotels, and some properties discount from five rooms. One request for proposal through hotelhuddle reaches more than fifty hotels in the destination city, responses arrive in 24 to 72 hours, submission is free and the group pays the hotel directly with no markup. Send the Saturday 10 October night as the anchor and add the Friday and Sunday nights as options, so the hotel can price the peak night against the shoulders.

What the organiser does not publish

The association publishes no room block, no group code, no nightly rate and no reservation cut-off for Fleet Week. It publishes two property routes and one discount line. Every figure behind those three sits with the property, so every figure has to be confirmed with the property in writing.
