What Miami Beach costs in 2026
Engine puts the average Miami par rate at $191 a night across 3.9 million public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026. That ranks the market 10th of 50 and 29 percent above the $148 median of those 50 markets. February averages $267 and September $128. Engine labels these advertised rates.
The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau reported 28.3 million visitors to Miami-Dade County in 2025 and $22.7 billion in visitor spending. Its January 2026 inventory counts 575 hotels and 64,719 rooms county-wide. Of those, 222 properties with 20,909 rooms carry a Miami Beach address.
How this list is ordered
Ten Miami Beach properties, ranked by the daily fee each one publishes, lowest first. Properties that fold the fee into the room rate lead. Two properties confirm a daily fee and withhold the amount, and one names no daily fee at all; those three close the list. The parking charge sits beside every entry, because a valet-only property adds it to each night of the stay.
An online travel agency takes a commission of 15 to 25 percent of the room rate, according to The Lobby, a hospitality marketing firm that sells direct-booking services. That range is the vendor’s own published figure.
The ten, ranked by the daily fee
1. The Setai Miami Beach — 2001 Collins Avenue. Its own FAQ states that The Setai charges no traditional resort fee and includes the amenities in the rate. Valet parking runs $60 overnight. Nothing else lands on the nightly bill.
2. Avalon Hotel — 700 Ocean Drive. The resort fee is $39 plus 14 percent tax, and covers two beach chairs, two refillable water bottles, towels, morning coffee and Wi-Fi. Ocean Drive runs one way and the hotel keeps no valet, so parking means the public garage two blocks away on 7th Street between Washington and Collins Avenue.
3. The Palms Hotel & Spa — 3025 Collins Avenue. A $48 daily hotel fee inclusive of tax, and valet parking at $50 overnight, also inclusive of tax. The published rates leave nothing to compute.
4. Loews Miami Beach Hotel — 1601 Collins Avenue. A $50 resort fee per night plus tax, valet at $60 a night including tax, and a public garage across the street at $20 a day that cannot be charged to the room.
5. Fontainebleau Miami Beach — 4441 Collins Avenue. The terms page applies a $53 hotel fee per room per day plus tax. The FAQ section lists $59. Valet runs $58 to $73 a night plus tax, and the two pages disagree, so confirm the figure at booking.
6. The Betsy — 1440 Ocean Drive. A $62 resort fee plus tax per room per night, and valet at $55 plus tax.
7. 1 Hotel South Beach — 2341 Collins Avenue. A $66 resort fee per room exclusive of tax, and valet at $65 plus tax. Retreat Collection rooms carry a $95 daily fee.
8. The Clevelander — 1020 Ocean Drive. The FAQ confirms a resort fee and withholds the amount, so ask before you book. Valet is $49 a night plus tax.
9. National Hotel — 1677 Collins Avenue. The hotel confirms a daily resort fee and does not publish it. Overnight valet is $47, with visitor parking at $35 for four to eight hours.
10. Bentley Hotel South Beach — 510 Ocean Drive. The FAQ names no daily fee. Valet is $45 for a standard vehicle or $70 for an oversized one, per night plus tax, and the nearest public lot sits behind the hotel at 500 Collins Avenue.
What the fees add to a five-night stay
A five-night stay carries the daily fee five times. At The Palms that is $240 in hotel fees plus $250 for valet, and both figures already include tax. At 1 Hotel South Beach the same stay adds $330 in resort fees plus $325 for valet. Loews charges $250 in resort fees plus tax, against $300 for five nights of valet or $100 for the garage across the street. At the Setai the fee line stays at zero, and valet accounts for the only add-on at $300 across five nights.
That arithmetic is the argument for comparing before you book. Two properties advertising similar nightly rates can separate by hundreds of dollars across a five-night stay once the fee and the parking charge land.
The tax that sits on top
The City of Miami Beach levies a 4 percent tax on the rent of a hotel room, filed with the city, alongside a 2 percent tax on food and beverage sales. The city tax stacks on the state and county room taxes. Ask every property to quote the fee, the parking charge and the tax line separately. A fee quoted inclusive of tax and a fee quoted plus tax are different numbers.
