Three published attendance figures
The ASHA Convention runs November 19 to 21, 2026 at the Indiana Convention Center, 100 South Capitol Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46225. The venue publishes a forecast attendance of 13,500. The venue's own description of the event reads approximately 13,000 attendees and nearly 400 exhibitors. ASHA's convention site states the meeting brings together approximately 15,000 attendees and offers more than 2,500 sessions.
Three figures, three publishers. Ask the hotel which number it contracts to before you size a block.
A Thursday November 19 check-in and a Saturday November 21 check-out is two nights. Adding Wednesday November 18 makes three, and Wednesday's programme supports it. Board, committee and council meetings run 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and the ticketed state association pre-convention workshops run 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Registration steps on November 1
Registration opened August 3, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Eastern. The member rate ladder is $419 for the Early Bird window of August 3 to 31, $469 for the Advance window of September 1 to 30, $519 for the Regular window of October 1 to 31, and $569 for the Onsite window that opens November 1 and runs to November 21.
Other categories step the same way. The ASHA-certified assistant rate runs $269, $319, $369 and $419. Related professionals and non-members run $609, $659, $709 and $759.
That is where the money in the booking moves. The room route carries no equivalent deadline.
Housing through Maritz costs nothing to hold
Maritz Global Events is ASHA's official and only registration and hotel reservations provider, and the only official housing company. The reservations site is reachable only through convention.asha.org, and the convention publishes a warning about unauthorized housing providers beside it.
Maritz states its booking terms. There is no prepayment at booking and no change fee, and the reservations are built to be modified. Representatives are available before the convention and on site.
The ASHA Housing Center takes questions at ASHAHotel@maritz.com or 864-208-2571, Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern. On site, housing representatives sit in the Indiana Convention Center's Hoosier Foyer near the registration counter.
That combination moves the commitment point. Book the room early and revise it later. The date that costs you money is the registration tier.
The rate sheet ASHA publishes
ASHA publishes a hotel rate sheet as a PDF, dated as of September 10, 2026, with a per-night rate for each official hotel by occupancy. The sheet states the rates are available only through ASHA's hotel reservation service, are per night and exclusive of taxes, and include complimentary basic internet access.
The published floor is $169, at the Tru by Hilton Indianapolis Downtown and the Holiday Inn Indianapolis Downtown. The Holiday Inn Express Indianapolis Downtown, the Staybridge Suites City Centre and the Courtyard by Marriott Indianapolis at the Capitol sit at $179. Five further properties sit at $189.
Higher up the sheet, the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis at One South Capitol Avenue is $228. The Indianapolis Marriott Downtown is $278. Two properties carry the Co-Leadership label: The Westin Indianapolis at $278 and the JW Marriott Indianapolis at $298. The Conrad Indianapolis is $300.
The spread from $169 to $300 is $131 a night for the same two or three nights.
A skywalk room or a shuttle route
Visit Indy counts its connected package at 12 hotels and 5,200 rooms. The Hyatt Regency Indianapolis is listed at 499 rooms with direct connections to the convention center and Circle Centre mall. The package also lists the JW Marriott Indianapolis at 1,005 rooms, The Westin Indianapolis at 575, the Indy Marriott at 650, the Embassy Suites at 360 and the Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Downtown Union Station at 273.
The Convention Center publishes its own count: 4,700 rooms connected to the center via skywalks, out of 7,100 downtown rooms. The two counts come from two publishers.
The skywalk has hours. The center publishes lockdown at approximately 11:00 p.m. and reopening at approximately 6:00 a.m., and states the window is event-dependent. Friday's Awards Ceremony runs 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. with receptions from 8:30 to 11:00 p.m., so a walk back from an evening event can meet the lockdown.
The alternative is the shuttle. ASHA states that many of its Indianapolis hotels sit within walking distance of the convention center, and that complimentary shuttle service runs November 19 to 21 for attendees staying at ASHA hotels outside that radius. An ADA-accessible shuttle with a wheelchair lift serves all ASHA hotels and official ASHA events from Wednesday November 18 through Saturday November 21. ASHA asks you to allow 45 minutes from the call to pickup. The convention does not provide airport ground transportation.
ASHA's rate sheet does not label which hotels the shuttle serves. Ask the Housing Center to name the properties on the route before trading a skywalk link for a lower rate. The gap between the $169 floor and the $228 Hyatt Regency is $59 a night.
Badges print on site this year
Badges for the 2026 convention print on site rather than in advance. Self-service badge printing stations sit inside the Indiana Convention Center, with staff at the Attendee Registration Desk for anyone who needs help. Printing a badge verifies attendance, so no further scanning is required during the event.
Badges must be worn at all times across convention activities, including the leadership hotel and off-site events. One-day registrants have their selected day printed on the badge.
Registration opens at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday and the Opening General Session runs 8:30 to 10:00 a.m.
What to ask before you book
Ask the Housing Center for the nightly rate at two properties, one inside the connected package and one the shuttle serves. Ask Maritz to confirm in writing that the rate carries no prepayment and no change fee. Register at the tier you want before November 1, and pay for the badge and the room separately.
