The Conference and the Venue Publish Different Fan Fest Dates
The Big Ten's release of 15 September 2026 places the Fan Fest at the Indiana Convention Center on Friday 4 December and Saturday 5 December, and commits more than 200,000 square feet to games, entertainment, merchandise, giveaways and food.
The venue's event page and its events calendar both read 5-6 December 2026. The two sources share one night, Saturday 5 December. Ask the venue and the conference to confirm the span in writing before you commit a non-refundable night.
The Connected Room and the Room Further Out
Downtown Indianapolis holds 7,100 hotel rooms, and the Convention Center states that 4,700 of them connect to the building by skywalk. Its attendees page adds that more than half of downtown's rooms sit within blocks of the Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium. Visit Indy reads the connected package at 12 hotels and 5,200 rooms, with the 803-room Signia Hilton Indianapolis inside that figure.
The skywalk clock matters on this date. The Convention Center states that closing and opening times are event-dependent and gives a rule of thumb of an 11:00 p.m. lockdown and a 6:00 a.m. reopening. An 8 p.m. kickoff runs toward the lockdown hour. Ask the hotel to confirm the skywalk hours for 5 December and to say whether a street-level door stays open.
Rates and Cancellation Terms
No source publishes a rate, a room block or a cancellation deadline for this weekend. The Big Ten publishes no official housing programme for the championship game, and neither the Convention Center nor Visit Indy lists a block or a cut-off. The cancellation terms belong to the property, and the written deadline is the part of the booking worth holding.
The ticket release argues for the flexible rate. Public sales opened on 22 September, before the regular season settled which two teams reach Indianapolis, and the conference pairs the two teams with the best conference records at the end of it. A non-refundable December night bought in September carries that uncertainty.

Ask the property for three things in writing: the cancellation deadline, the nightly difference between its flexible rate and its non-refundable rate, and whether the deadline moves if the kickoff time changes.
Whether a Sunday Night Adds Anything
The Big Ten's release ends the Fan Fest on Saturday 5 December. The venue's span reaches 6 December, and neither page publishes Sunday door hours. No 2026 Fan Fest schedule with times is published. Book the Saturday and check out Sunday.
The conference's 2025 championship page is still online and listed Fan Fest doors at 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET on Friday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET on Saturday. That is the previous year's clock, and it shows the shape a two-day fan festival takes.
Getting There and Parking
Denison Parking operates every Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium lot, and downtown holds more than 70,000 parking spaces. Prepay through the Convention Center or the stadium before game day. The Convention Center's transportation page recommends the Maryland Street canopy for taxi pick-up and drop-off and warns that access can be restricted during certain events. Indianapolis International Airport is 15 minutes from downtown, and its Ground Transportation Center sits on the first floor of the Terminal Garage.
One Other Booking Shares the Saturday
The venue's calendar puts the 38th Combat Aviation Brigade Ball in the building on 5 December, in Meeting Rooms 107-110, with a forecast attendance of 250. The next bookings after that weekend are the IU School of Nursing Graduation on 16 December and the Dentons Bingham Greenebaum Legislative Conference and the Indiana Transportation Team Partnering Conference on 17 December.
