The Dates and the Rooms
The 35th annual DeVeau's Circle of Stars Gymnastics Invitational runs January 29 to 31, 2027 at the Indiana Convention Center, 100 South Capitol Avenue. The venue lists the meet in Exhibit Hall I-K and forecasts 5,000 attendees.
Downtown Indianapolis holds 7,100 hotel rooms, and more than half sit within blocks of the Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium. The Convention Center counts 4,700 of those rooms as skywalk-connected, and Visit Indy counts the connected package at 12 hotels and 5,200 rooms once Signia joins.
The Organiser's Three Hotels
DeVeau's Booster Club names three hotels on the event site, each with its own booking link. Visit Indy lists the Embassy Suites Indianapolis Downtown at 110 West Washington Street with 360 sleeping rooms, and the organiser describes it as a short walk from the Convention Center by skywalk and a 10-minute walk from Lucas Oil Stadium. The Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Downtown Union Station at 123 West Louisiana Street carries 273 sleeping rooms inside the country's first union station, with 26 Pullman traincar sleepers on the original tracks and two full-service restaurants off the lobby. The Hyatt Place Indianapolis Downtown at 130 South Pennsylvania Street takes the third slot, three stars in the hotelhuddle directory and within walking distance of the hall.
The booking links carry the group codes: Hyatt Place G-CC27, Crowne Plaza C7Q, and the Embassy Suites route through Hilton's attend-my-event page. None of the three publishes a nightly rate or a cut-off date, so every rate, release date and cancellation term comes from the property in writing.
The Wider Downtown Inventory
The connected package covers 12 hotels and 5,200 rooms. It includes the JW Marriott Indianapolis at 1,005 rooms and 104,482 square feet of meeting space, The Westin Indianapolis at 575 rooms, the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis at 499 rooms with links to the Convention Center, the Conrad Indianapolis at 247 rooms and Le Meridien Indianapolis at 100 rooms. Marriott IndyPlace adds 2,276 rooms across five interconnected Marriott properties.
The Convention Center's April 21, 2026 release states Signia by Hilton Indianapolis, an 800-room property, accepts reservations for stays beginning February 1, 2027. That start date falls the day after the meet closes.
Why a Friday Start Pulls a Thursday Night
January 29, 2027 is a Friday and January 31 is a Sunday. A three-day meet that opens on the Friday puts the first competition day there, so most clubs travel the day before and the Thursday January 28 night belongs in the stay. Book Thursday and Friday as the core, and add the Sunday night for families who stay through the finish.
Thursday January 28 is contested. The Dot Foods National Business Meeting runs January 27 to 29 in the same building with a forecast 2,000 attendees, and its second night falls on the Thursday.
Friday January 29 carries three groups. Dot Foods checks out that morning, the RxHealing Sales Convention opens its own January 29 to 31 run with a forecast 2,000, and the Circle of Stars brings 5,000. The Indianapolis Royal Weekend runs January 31, the day the meet closes.
Which Rooms to Hold
Gymnastics families move between the hall, the hotel and the competition floor several times a day. A connected room keeps a late return indoors, and the Convention Center states the skywalk locks down around 11:00 p.m. and reopens around 6:00 a.m., with those hours event-dependent.
Ask each shortlisted property to confirm its connected status in writing and to state the walk time to Hall I-K. Reserve the connected rooms for the families who carry equipment, and place the overflow in the wider downtown inventory.
Parking, Transit and the Airport
Denison Parking operates the Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium lots, takes enquiries at (317) 916-1760 or denisonparking.com, and arranges specialty and long-term parking. Downtown holds more than 70,000 spaces, with reserve-and-pre-pay online for the Convention Center and the stadium. Accessible spaces sit in surrounding lots and garages on a first-come, first-served basis, with van-access spaces marked and metered accessible spaces on the surrounding streets.
IndyGo runs the local bus service and Open Door, its ADA paratransit programme, with a call centre at (317) 635-3344. The Maryland Street canopy is the recommended taxi pick-up and drop-off point, and access there can be restricted during some events. The Ground Transportation Center on the first floor of the airport Terminal Garage connects bus service, taxi, ride-hail, rental cars and hotel courtesy vehicles.
Registration and the Two Deadlines
Gymnast registration runs through USA Gymnastics, with payment through the organiser's worksheet and no fee for eChecks. Fees run $155 at women's levels 2 through 5 and men's levels 3 through 5, and $175 at levels 6 through 10, plus a $55 team fee. Xcel Bronze, Silver and Gold pay $155; Platinum, Diamond and Sapphire pay $175. Scratches and refunds close November 16, 2026, and level changes close December 14, 2026 subject to available space. Payment in full is due at registration, and unpaid spots can return to the waitlist.
Both deadlines sit two months ahead of the room deadlines, so the rooms go first.
How to Ask for the Rooms
