Two midweek nights at the Core-Mark Expo
The Core-Mark Expo runs 10 and 11 February 2027 at the Indiana Convention Center, in Exhibit Hall J-K. The venue lists a forecast attendance of 1,500 for the convenience-retail buying show Core-Mark stages for independent retailers and suppliers.
The show sits inside the working week. The calendar holds a night-count decision, and the Wednesday check-in lands on the closing day of two other shows in the same building.
One night or two
A Wednesday 10 February arrival and a Thursday 11 February checkout is one night. That night covers a travel-in for the first morning and a departure after the last afternoon.
A two-night booking moves the arrival to Tuesday 9 February. Both nights then sit inside the show week. Settle the count against your own schedule before booking, because the front night carries the inventory risk.
Wednesday 10 February is the contested night
Two other events share the Indiana Convention Center with the Expo's opening day. The Indiana Green Expo runs 8 to 10 February 2027 with a forecast attendance of 2,000. The Indiana Health and Safety Conference & Expo runs 7 to 10 February with a forecast attendance of 850.
The venue's feed puts 4,350 forecast attendees in the building on 10 February. Tuesday 9 February is the last night both other shows are in town, and Wednesday 10 February is the day they release their rooms. Book the Tuesday night first, and book it refundable.
The exit is cleaner. Core-Mark closes on Thursday 11 February. The next large booking on the venue calendar is the American Football Coaches Association Annual Convention on 14 to 16 February, and the Economic Club of Indiana Luncheon falls on 12 February. Neither one competes for the Thursday night.
What a connected room carries
The venue's own guidance is that more than half of downtown's 7,100-plus hotel rooms sit within blocks of the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium, and that downtown is walkable. A skywalk-connected room removes the outdoor walk from the trip.
Two published counts describe the connected inventory. Visit Indy lists the connected package at 12 hotels and 5,200 rooms. The Convention Center's own numbers block lists 4,700 rooms connected by skywalk. Both figures are published, they do not reconcile, and the gap is a reason to get the connected status of a shortlisted property in writing.
The skywalk keeps hours. The Convention Center states that its opening and closing times are event-dependent, with a rule of thumb of about 11:00 p.m. for the evening lockdown and about 6:00 a.m. for reopening. A dinner that runs past 11:00 p.m. puts a guest back on the street for the walk home.
A drive-in room trades that walk for a car. Denison Parking operates every Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium lot. Downtown holds more than 70,000 parking spaces. The venue points drivers to reserve and pre-pay online. Ask for the all-in nightly comparison: the lower room rate against the daily parking charge, the February walk, and the skywalk hours. No hotel and no lot publishes that figure for this week.
The new connected property
Signia by Hilton Indianapolis takes reservations for stays beginning 1 February 2027, which puts it inside the Core-Mark window. The Convention Center describes it as the city's tallest hotel, the Center's newest headquarters hotel, an 800-room property on the Georgia Street pedestrian promenade in the Wholesale District, with direct skywalk access to the Indiana Convention Center and access to Lucas Oil Stadium and Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Two room counts are published. The Convention Center's announcement reads 800 rooms. Visit Indy's connected-hotels page reads 803 rooms across 38 stories with 235,000 square feet of meeting space, and states the project is expected to open in 2026. Confirm the opening date and the room count with the property before committing a non-refundable night.
What to put in writing before booking
Ask the property for the cancellation deadline in writing, and for the nightly difference between its flexible rate and its non-refundable rate. The two-night version of this trip needs the flexible rate for the front night.
hotelhuddle's own FAQ reads that most hotels offer group rates at 10 or more rooms per night, and that some discount from as few as five rooms depending on season and availability. The platform sends one request to 50 or more hotels in the destination, charges nothing to submit, and adds no markup to the rate. Its published response window is 24 to 72 hours. The rate comes from the hotel, so the cancellation deadline and the deposit are the terms worth comparing.
