The Westin Indianapolis at 241 West Washington Street is the IGE headquarter hotel. The organiser invites attendees to receive special pricing through the IGE room block and notes that the Westin sits across the street from the convention center.
The organiser also publishes why the block matters: staying at the headquarter hotel is "important to the success of the overall event and each participating not-for-profit organization." The expo is presented by the Midwest Regional Turf Foundation and the Indiana Nursery and Landscape Association, both not-for-profits.
What the unpublished 2027 rate means
No 2027 rate is published anywhere on the organiser's site. Not on the hotel page, not on the registration page, not on the schedule page. The Westin Indianapolis and the IGE block carry no dollar figure at all.
The block link is the sharper problem. The room block reservation link on the organiser's hotel page still resolves to the 2026 block, and that block is closed. The reservation site names itself Indiana Green Expo 2026, shows a February 8 to February 11, 2026 span, and answers a booking attempt with "This event is now closed to new reservations." It carries the Westin's contact route and street address and no rate.
For the February 8-10, 2027 window that means the budget number does not exist yet. An attendee planning now can price the nights and cannot price the rate. The workable move is to ask the Westin directly for the 2027 IGE block rate and the block cut-off, ask the same hotel for its best flexible rate on the same three nights, and ask the organiser when the 2027 block opens.
The cut-off the last cycle published
The organiser's hotel page still displays last cycle's deadline, labelled as extended: January 23, 2026. That was the 2026 block cut-off, and it landed in late January, 16 days before the block's first night on Sunday, February 8, 2026.
The 2026 block is the useful template. The block covered February 8 to February 11, 2026 for a programme whose education ran February 9-11, which put its first night on the Sunday before a Monday start. The 2027 programme runs Monday, February 8 through Wednesday, February 10, so the mirror of that pattern is a Sunday, February 7 block night. Sixteen days ahead of February 7 is January 22, 2027.
That date is arithmetic taken from the last cycle, and it is labelled as such. The organiser has published no 2027 cut-off and the 2027 block has not opened, so treat late January as the planning window and get the date from the organiser in writing before you commit a non-refundable night.
The block against the downtown market

February is the cheapest month at $107, 16 percent below that average, against a May peak of $158 and a 32 percent swing across the year. February 8-10 therefore lands on the cheapest month Indianapolis has. A block rate earns its keep only by beating $107 a night, and only the Westin can say whether this one does. Ask for both numbers.
What else is in the building that week
The Indiana Safety and Health Conference and Expo runs at the convention center on the same February 8-10 dates with a forecast attendance of 850. The Core-Mark Expo opens February 10 in Exhibit Hall J-K with a forecast of 1,500. Two shows share the building on the IGE nights, and a third opens on the expo's closing day.
The center counts 7,100 hotel rooms downtown and 4,700 of them connected by skywalk. Visit Indy counts the connected package as 12 hotels and 5,200 rooms, and more than 10,000 rooms within walking distance of downtown. Those counts do not reconcile, so confirm connected status property by property.
The Westin holds 575 rooms and 42,500 square feet of meeting space and sits inside the connected package. Skywalks lock down around 11:00 p.m. and reopen around 6:00 a.m. Denison Parking operates every convention center and Lucas Oil Stadium lot, and downtown holds more than 70,000 spaces with pre-payment available online.
One registration term to read twice
The organiser's registration terms carry a clause worth reading before you register: if you are unable to attend after registering, the registration fees are treated as a donation to the MRTF and INLA. That term covers registration only. Book the room on a rate you can cancel, and read the block's own cancellation terms before committing.
What to do
Ask the Westin for the 2027 IGE block rate, the block cut-off and its flexible-rate alternative. Ask the organiser when the 2027 block opens, because the published link still points at a closed 2026 reservation site. Then compare the block figure against $107 a night, the city's February floor.
