The Indianapolis Home Show runs Friday, Jan. 15 through Sunday, Jan. 24, 2027 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, 1202 E. 38th St., Indianapolis 46205. The show fills two buildings this year: Expo Hall and the West Pavilion.
Ten show days sit on that calendar. The organiser publishes a list of places to stay and attaches no room block, no group code and no rate. Every property on the list takes its own bookings, so the terms stay open.
Nine nights cover the show, ten cover the handover
Count the stay before you compare rates. Nine nights cover all ten show days: arrive Friday, Jan. 15 and leave Sunday, Jan. 24. A tenth night leaves Monday, Jan. 25 and holds the room into the morning after the closing Sunday.
The daily clock sets the arrival and the checkout. The show opens 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The closing Sunday, Jan. 24 runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Two hotels sit on the show's own list
Hampton Inn Indianapolis-N.E./Castleton, 6817 E. 82nd Street, Indianapolis, IN 46250. Our own directory entry carries the same street address and a three-star rating.
Candlewood Suites Indianapolis Northeast By IHG, 8111 Bash Street, Indianapolis, IN 46250. Our directory entry carries a two-star rating for it.
The directory's own coordinates put the two about 150 metres apart in Castleton, off one interchange. Road routing from either one to the Fairgrounds runs about eight miles and sixteen minutes. Neither hotel carries a show code on the organiser's page. Ask each property for the nightly rate across nine or ten nights, for its own parking charge, and for the cancellation deadline in writing.
Where the ten dollars a day goes
Parking on the Fairgrounds costs $10.00 per day, per car. The Expo Hall lot holds ample parking, with overflow in the infield and across 38th Street. Ten show days at $10 is $100 for a car-based stay, and the hotel's own lot is a separate charge.
One day of it is free. Hero Day falls on opening day, Friday, Jan. 15: active military, veterans, police, fire, nurses, doctors and first responders enter free and park free that day with valid ID, courtesy of the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
The rental code and the RV lot
Lazy Sunday Rentals is a local, women-owned Indianapolis vacation rental company. Its homes carry full kitchens, workspaces, gathering areas and free parking. A direct booking with code LAZYINDYHOMESHOW takes 10 percent off.
The State Fairgrounds RV campground is the on-site alternative at $40 plus tax per day with a hook-up, and the campground desk answers at 317-927-7500. The Fairgrounds' own camping page runs full hook-ups April through October and electric-only hook-ups November through March, with the dump station closed in that second window. Reservations are required before arrival, check-in runs 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., check-out is noon, and an overstay is charged by the day. Ask which utilities run in January before committing a ten-night stay to a hook-up site.
A ticket rhythm for ten days
Adults pay $15 at the door and $13 online. Children 12 and under enter free. The FAQ page sends any guest who wants a second day to the show manager in the show office.
Three dated discounts shorten the cost. Admission drops to $5 after 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, Jan. 18-21, at the box office. Senior Day on Tuesday, Jan. 19 brings $5 admission for guests 65 and over at the box office, with no online tickets. Teacher Day on Sunday, Jan. 17 gives teachers and school staff free admission with valid ID.
Menards sells single adult tickets at $7.50 from participating stores starting Nov. 16, 2026. Ace Hardware coupons available in select stores from Jan. 3, 2027 take half off the box office price, and 26 central Indiana locations sell discounted tickets from Jan. 5, 2027.
The show office answers at 317-927-1469 from Jan. 11 through Jan. 25, 2027.
Put the whole stay out to several hotels
Four questions settle the choice with either hotel: the nightly rate for nine or ten nights, the parking charge at the property, the cancellation deadline in writing, and the penalty for shortening the span. No block exists, so no rate is fixed before the request goes out.
A booking for several households changes the route. hotelhuddle sends one request to 50 or more hotels in the destination. Most hotels quote group rates from 10 rooms a night, and some from five. The platform publishes responses in 24 to 72 hours, adds no markup to the rate, and the guest pays the hotel directly.
